Didn't know where else to put this, as it hits too many different forums.
Big weekend coming up for the Sioux....
Big Sky Basketball tournament in Missoula.
Women's hockey playing an undefeated Minnesota team for a chance to go the Women's Frozen Four.
Men's hockey playing Tech to advance to the WCHA Final Five.
Which events are you planning to hit?
I'll be sitting by my computer and TV taking it in.
Go Sioux!
I stopped by the Farmers Market downtown Pensacola this past weekend and had on a Fighting Sioux sweatshirt. A couple of NDSU snowbirds walked up to me and commented that I couldn't wear that anymore. He laughed and agreed when I told him I can wear it forever. Had a nice conversation with them, but they couldn't help but interject Frisco, Texas... twice. I told him that we watch Sioux hockey every weekend that the Sioux play at home and are able to watch a lot of UND sports. He was kind of surprised that someone so far away from GF was that connected to what was going on.
Fighting Sioux!!
The new lockers at Memorial has me wondering. It has been speculated that UND will break ground on the IPF in May. Doesn't the IPF have locker rooms for football? Is there thought that the new locker room at Memorial will be a visiting locker room, if there is a full blown renovation of Memorial? Since I'm going out on a limb, I will ask... will the monorail stop at the new locker room.
Sorry, I don't share your need to stay close to the other Dakota schools. UND chose a different path, one which I am glad they chose. To occasionally play the other Dakota schools is fine, but "need"...no.
Are there any more schools looking to add Division I hockey in the near term? I know that Star used to mention British Columbia as a possibility. How about the PAC-12 schools?

I am guessing #1. #2 is for the whole University and not just athletics. #3 just isn't going to happen. In my opinion, overall Faison has done a good job. Sure he has made mistakes, but who hasn't.
