Neepawa defender stars for Pursuit Kryzaniak honed skills at B.C. prep school "She brings more than what she brings on the ice. As far as her play, I don't think there is a better defenceman her age out there in the world," said Pursuit head coach Scott Spencer. "The awards she's received this year prove that. She was the top defenceman at the world championship, she was top defenceman and the MVP of the Canadian national championship. The leadership she brings off the ice is phenomenal. She is a very mature kid, she's very businesslike, she comes to work. She's a pro."

I ran in there in the 70's and hated it. I remember collapsing at the end of a race, not sure what the length even was and couldn't catch my breath. It was stifling in there. I liked running in the Crookston shed better than indoors at the Fieldhouse.

No home series with Denver??

Back on topic... A poster on the WAC board noted that the Horizon will be down to 5 baseball teams when Butler leaves. The Summit will be raided, it is just a matter of how many they take. The admin at UMKC was grilled last week for making a strange move. We will soon see.

The lipstick on a pig actually came from an FU fan a few years back when it was decided not to add a BB venue onto the Fargodome. Seems the FU faithful didn't like that decision. I happen to agree with them. Did you know that up until around 2004 Gonzaga played in a 4,000 seat venue and just recently moved into a 6,000 seat facility? That is from a BB school. The Betty is great for most BB games. If a big crowd is expected, the Ralph is fabulous. More sports allows more student athletes more opportunities. That is a good thing.

UND is a space grant university. A couple of days ago Russia was hit by a meteor, which was very powerful. UND Meteors.

Interesting numbers from last week's game... North Dakota vs. Nebraska-Omaha draws NBC Sports Network college hockey high - SBNation.com

I have my doubts that you are a UND fan. Yes, you may have gone to school there.... doesn't make you a fan. FU can put lipstick on a pig (BSA), but it doesn't make it nicer. If UND needs to use a larger facility for big games, the Ralph is next door. The Betty works great for most games. UND supports a lot more sports than FU does. Check out the number of teams for each of the two schools, 16 vs 21.

Not that it is directly realignment related, but the new president at Northern Iowa is a UND guy, William Ruud. Now if Ruud has a choice amongst USD, SDSU and NDSU for a slot in the MVC who do you think he would not pick? Hmmm.

Forever would be good.

UND accepted into WAC for baseball

Great news. WAC, no Summit.

Belmont, if they want to go. Nashville market over Omaha market.

Great win for UND. Finally finding a way to win on the road this season. I was reading the Weber board a few days ago and they were asking the question of who was going to beat Montana, so they wouldn't go undefeated in conference. UND didn't get mentioned. Prove them wrong guys. Did y'all hear that Nate Wolters scored 53 for SDSU last night. Impressive.
