State board rejects president evaluations, allows acting chancellor to redo them I have to agree with the Board on this one. A university president shouldn't have to hear about his evaluation in the newspaper.

UND can't afford to play D2 games. This is part of what caused the apathy during at the end of D2 and into the D-I transition. Playing these types of games excited no one. As a fan, I would much rather get a good D-I team in and lose, than beat up a D2 team.

There aren't really any nice hotels within walking distance. I think the Canad runs buses to the Ralph on hockey night, though. They have a couple of bars in the hotel, Playmakers and Tavern United.

As much as I'd love to see UND playing a game down south, I think the concentration on the west is a better move. More alumni and you can overlap the Big Sky footprint with PAC12 and MWC schedules. That will get you exposure to potential recruits. Still.... would love to see a game against LSU. Due to hockey, I think my kids have been indoctrinated as UND fans, over my wife's LSU.

Do you have a specific time table when coaches are to be hired? I think I read recently that Cal Poly just hired a couple of coaches as well. You never know where the next great coach may come from. I remember a few years back when the New Orleans Saints were coming off a dismal 3-13 season and the Saints hired a QB coach from Dallas to take the reigns. I had never even heard of the guy. Within 4 years of the hire of Sean Payton, the Saints won the Super Bowl.
