I'm not one to question much about NDSU given the success they've had, but moments in this game just baffle me. Zona hasn't stopped Luepke at all, why wouldn't you use him late? Honestly, they should be up by 10 points.
-
I concur. Time to let some young kids up to see what they got. Also time to shut some guys down, healthy or not.
-
No reason to throw the ball if you're NDSU.
-
The kid NDSU has coming in to run their read option game is a dude. A 230 lb redshirt. Him and Luepke are a tough duo to stop. Expecting a lot of bison ball the second half. Zona's defense not winning the line of scrimmage.
-
Just bulldozed their way down to the five and tried to get cute. Dumb.
-
Why would you throw it NDSU? They can't stop your read option game. Zona ball.

Just win. Doesn't matter how, just have more points. On to the Slookies.

Good riddance to Gary Sanchez at the end of the year. Wow did he not have his best moments as a catcher when it counted. You try and backhand an offspeed pitch from Duran? How many two strike counts is he calling for fastballs? The 0-2 pitch in literally the same spot as the previous pitch that tied the game is inexcusable. Double header tomorrow.....could be buried by the end of the day.

I'm interested to see what they come up with going forward if this is true. I don't like the Hawks logo that whatever group they paid came up with (personal opinion people), but I've got my kids wearing it to school to try and drown out the green and yellow here in Fargo. As for the thread title I'd like to see: -Black out theme -Green out theme -Or forever, Green helmets, Green jerseys, white pants, minus the green on the white socks below the knee, or go all green socks.

I was at a game where Johan came close in Minnesota against Detroit back when Detroit was good (Magglio, Miggy), and I said that he would some day get one based on how overpowering he was. The people that say the no hitter wrecked his career overlook the fact that his career was already on a path to ending and his control had already slipped because of some arm issues. Plus it wasn't actually a no hitter because a guy hit a fair ball that was called foul....

Bud light intermission beer lap it is.

I honestly could see the kid get bombed his next start in Cleveland. To his credit he was very professional in his post game interview. Praised his teammate who blew the no hitter, but said all the right things. I'd be really impressed if he was able to put it all behind him and have a good outing next time out. Lets hope he does. That all said he's clearly pissed off. And Sonny was also very pissed off earlier this year when taken out of a game he felt he could go longer in, add Dylan Bundy to that list as well.

I think he's got a great opportunity too. The kid just finds ways at whatever level he's at to get on the score sheet. Excited to see who he's with with early in the year. Hopefully Gaber at some point. -
Different sports, different situations, but just a different vibe in Minnesota yesterday on the football field. There was a new blood energy that I felt gave the team a boost. And the fan base is thrilled to see a new regime after the last one ran its course, and was as successful as it was going to be. On the baseball field we are just lifeless. Lots of injuries, but I think a new front office and manager could go a long ways in getting some excitement back at Target Field. Who knows, not being able to shift next year may mean Rocco puts the binder down once in a while. Maybe an announcement from MLB that bunting is still a legal play would help.

Look at Geno lead the Seahawks offense.
-
He and Adams were so so good together. Now he's got a bunch of young guys and Cobb, and he is admittedly not a patient guy. My bet is he rights the ship and they figure out a way to keep him happy.
-
Good start for the purple today. Nice to watch them spread the field and go with more 11 personnel sets to spread GB out a bit. Nice to have some new energy around the team. Maybe now the Vikings will try and stay with the ever evolving NFL scheme wise etc.
-
Just win baby. By 2 or by 20. Now let's go beat NAU.
-
Tony leaving the Sox has got them going. Twins fading away. Twins 2-8 their last ten.
-
I'll eat crow, they beat the Yankees. Now the AL Central a bunch... Nice job Fulmer.
-
My word, how poorly managed is this team? You just expect stupid mistakes because that's what we've seen everywhere all year long. Be 68 and 68 by this time tomorrow.

Maybe Pagan won't give up a....and it's gone. Thirty more games, then he's gone......

Extremely ballsy yet thought through move by Sergei Fedorov in the KHL. I've often thought that teams should pull the goalie off gained possession in OT to give yourself a 4-3 advantage. More of a risk in college hockey with pairwise OT losses being what they are, but if you're playing a team like Denver where an OT loss isn't going to hurt too much why the heck not? Surprised to not see it more honestly. All that space out there. -
Duran is just the man. I know they won't give the award to a rookie pitcher, but he's the best rookie in baseball. Thank you Eduardo Escobar for being traded for him years ago....
-
They let a ton go both ways. One play our d tackle bull rushed their center and the Husker lost his feet going backwards and just grabbed our guy and pulled our guy on top of him while saving his QB's life all the while.
