Looking at the Twins record as well as the rest of the AL Central makes one chuckle. Chicago is .500 with a bunch of talent, the Twins are 4 games above .500 with a bunch of talent and a fixed bullpen. Cleveland is 6 games above with great pitching, but goes into worse offensive stretches then the Twins. Maybe Cleveland has the best chance of the three in the postseason, but I can't imagine any of these teams making a run.

Let's roll with 45-21 Huskers. Be very surprised if the over doesn't get hit.
-
At least now I'm getting immune to bad losses by the Twins because they've had so many this year. Lopez hasn't been good.
-
Gordon has been so valuable. Many experts had the Twins letting him go since he's out of options, but he's been huge for the club. If you had a healthy Buxton in center, and Garlick playing left, I'd have no issue sitting Kepler and having Gordon play RF. Or if Correa opts out let Gordon hold short until Royce is back.

Red River or South/Shanley for the Natty in the boys.
-
Think Moran is as well. Get up a bunch and not use Duran, Fulmer, Lopez would be nice. Feel bad for Smeltzer, guy has been extremely valuable this year. More so than Pagan.
-
Four in a row after a six game losing streak.....only the Twins. Today is the get through Archer experiment after the get through Bundy experiment. -Archer for 4, maybe 5 with some luck. -6th Megill/Jax -7th Fulmer -8th Duran -9th Lopez The way that Duran mowed through the heart of the Beantown lineup yesterday was a thing of beauty.

Kind of a kick in the nuts loss for them. I wouldn't be very excited if I was a Nebraska fan losing a destination game in that fashion and now playing an FCS school for their home opener. Hopefully their team isn't very excited and goes through the motions to give our guys the belief that we can hang with them.

And UND isn't even the biggest dog in big ten action this weekend. Jerry Kill's team was like +36 last I checked.
-
8 Games with Cleveland will go a long ways. Looks like the White Sox have given up on Tony. I thought they'd make a run.
-
Had that play worked for Nebraska and they got the ball they win the game. They threw two interceptions in the 4th quarter, and nobody will remember those with Frost playing center stage. Pros: Get the ball and you've got a tired NW defense going back on the field. Cons: Give them a short field with them likely getting a score to make it a one score game. I liked the call. Sometimes they don't work, unfortunately not a lot right going for Nebraska the last few years.

Hey! A sweep! Now a crappy Red Sox team.....hopefully the team that played Texas doesn't show up.
-
Ahh, but did you? They bunted the guy over to third, which created some pitches under duress...sure enough....they scored the run. The amount of times they've had a leadoff double die at second this year because of poor situational hitting......I'll take bunting a guy over to third every time.
-
At that point Rocco pinch hitting himself would have a better chance of tying the game.
-
Jake Cave for the win....said no one ever...
-
Never been a Mannion guy....was hoping Mond would develop a bit, but looks like Zim may have known on that one. The experts have the Vikings 23rd in power rankings. We shall see.
-
He would be a complete moron to opt out with as poorly he has played this season. If he opts out and a team gave him a big contract after how he has played then they become the morons.
-
Pray that Correa opts out. Gordon can hold short until he is ready to go. When he is healthy he is the shortstop.
-
That wasn't fun today. I was at the park and the vibe was awful. Gladden's speech went way...wayyy too long. Thank all the people that helped you get there, but no need to talk about your wife's shorts and bra size and your stats in a day game after a night game. Lots of parents with young children left around the fourth inning because that's about as long as kids last at a ball game, especially when it's supposed to start at 1:10. Joe Ryan about the only guy who looked like he cared. Rockhead should've left him in to try and work through the situation. Was only at 88 pitches. Why not?
-
Mahle hurt, but win the games you're supposed too. Now beat a Rangers team that has looked horrible for long stretches this year.
-
Czechia ahead 3-1 over the US at the moment. Not a lot of up and go from the US at the moment.
-
Okay, good start at home. Have to take advantage of teams giving up. Is 6 of 7 too much to ask this home stand?
-
This team is just incapable of going on a streak with Rocco as the manager. He had his Bomba squad three and a barbecue postseason year, but this is exactly what we can expect with him and binder management. Bundy pitching great, pull him. Then get a miracle double play and put Pagan back out there for the 11th? Today....just no sense of urgency. Going through the motions. I'll be happy to see Correa opt out. I'd rather watch Gordan play short until Royce is ready. Spend the money to get a guy that can go seven innings, if the binder allows him too that is.

4-0 USA. I'm pretty sure there was a 15 minute review there too.

Did the German player get a match penalty for checking?
