Some of their fans are nervous about this game/matchup...seems to be a recurring theme among our new BSC peers. If our defense ever decides to show up this year and play similar to how they did last year, I feel we could make a good run at the playoffs. Unfortunately the defense has shown anything but so far. Anyone hearing any info on Braden Hanson. I would like our chances alot better if he were able to play.

This...I definitely upset some people with a post in their Smack/Preposterous statement forum. They can dish it but they can't take it very well.

Another question I have from the article is about the attorney representing the players. The article states that NDSU isn't responsible for setting them up with the Attorney Quick. It also states that Quick is only representing the football players and not the other's who have been implicated. Are NCAA athletes allowed to have attorney's who are paid for by a third party? Or is the Attorney not being paid in this case?

I don't understand this statement by Bohl. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't each petition have a 'validity paragraph' saying that each name on the petition is legit and accurate to the best of the petition gatherer's knowledge or something to that effect? So what if the company didn't individually tell each of their "employees" that forgery is illegal. Common sense should tell you that as well as the paragraph that they sign verifying that each signature is legit/accurate.

I believe every team except for Cal Poly has a game on Root this season. I also believe every Montana game is being televised. The reason ROOT chose the games it did most likely has to do with fan base/fan appeal. UM and MSU have the largest fan bases in the Big Sky so ROOT is televising the games that will get them the most TV sets.

According to a facebook post by the "Nodak Nation" page, there are around 500 student tickets remaining. They are also giving out free "rally towels" to the students. Not sure if they will be available to the rest of the fans or not.

How many times is the UND football team brought up on Bville? How many of us are over there having to defend everything that is said? You need to understand this is a UND board and like or not, posts are going to be slanted towards UND, just as posts are slanted towards NDSU on BVille. Learn to let things go once in awhile...

NAU has a good running back in Zach Baumen (sp?). He rushed for 200+ yards including a 75 yard td run on their first offensive play. UND will have it's hands full on Homecoming. I thought ROOT Sports did a great job producing the game. I know UND only has one game broadcast this year, but hopefully ROOT will expand it's coverage and pick up more games in years to come. I'm currently watching the Big Sky College football Preview 2012. They also had a college sports post game show focusing on Big Sky highlights as well as the highlights of other Western based schools. It's nice to be in the Big Sky!

It is true however. BVille is a major smack site and there are very few if any UND posters that feel the need to go to that board and call bison fans on it. Why, because it's your board and we understand that everything is going to be slanted to the bison point of view. Nothing wrong with that. This is a UND site, so of course things are going to be slanted to reflect better on UND. That's what fan message boards are for. For some reason, a "preposterous statement" as bville likes to call them, is posted on a UND board and suddenly every bison fan along with their sister, needs to come over here and attempt to clarify or correct it. As many others pointed out, they do it on numerous sites on anything UND related. It's become comical how much it happens. The only thing that it proves is that NDSU still has that "little sister" attitude, always needing to run their mouth to contradict anything UND...

I think that every other coach, in common sports, has turned over since that point in time. When NDSU began the transition, their favorite phrase for their football team was "anyone, anytime". I guess they need to update that a bit to "Anyone, anytime...except for UND and Oklahoma...or any other team that has a better than 50-50 chance at beating us."

Wasn't Craig Bohl their coach in 2003? Unless you are just referring to Presidents and AD's...

He was 'lol'ing because it was Aztec fans talking about how good a coach Muss is and how good the UND trio is, not UND fans.

I don't believe oldAztec86 was being arrogant and pompous with his post. I believe he was just being a bit sarcastic in a response to another post. While I agree we don't want posters here that do nothing but stir the pot, it's ok to have a little back and forth with out getting out of line, which seemed to be the case here. Just my opinion...so carry on with the game discussion.

UND seems to be struggling a bit to start the year. They lost at SDSU, 3-0 today (25-20, 25-19, and 26-24). Play in the Ole Miss tourney this weekend. Hopefully they can right the ship a bit and start playing better. Big Sky play starts next week as they host Montana and Montana State.

Actually they are 3-2. They beat Texas State, USD, and now Green Bay. Nice job in the tourney so far. Need to close it out against SFA tonight.

According to some posts on AGS, it sounds like Townsend and Nichols will be taking some snaps at qb. Perhaps we can get by without pulling a redshirt. It's going to be an interesting week of practice leading up to Potato Bowl.

I never said anything about the season being over. The reality is, the coaching staff is in a tough spot now. I would hate to see a redshirt pulled on either Mollberg or Bartles just so they can be a back up for 2-3 weeks. We have no one else to back up Hendrickson other than true frosh. My initial thought is they pull the redshirt for either Bartles or Jake Hanson and hope that Hendrickson stays healthy.

I thought that's what I said. So whose redshirt does UND pull? Best case scenario is that Hanson only misses 2-3 games. We need a back up to Hendrickson, so what does the coaching staff do?

Just back from the game. UND looked decent but SDSoM looked horrid. Hard to gauge much from the game. The Student section was great for the first quarter and a half. Hopefully it's a sign of things to come with their attendance and participation. From my perspective, there seemed to more fans on the student section side than on the home team side. Stinks to see Hanson go down in a game like this. Hopefully the initial reports are accurate and he only misses a couple of games. More importantly, what does the coaching staff do with the qb situation now? Do they pull a red shirt for a back up to Hendrickson? Tough situation to be in. Could sure use Bradley right about now...
