Don't get me wrong, the HPC is great, but does football camps/practice get rained out these days? I'm guessing the camp takes place rain or shine...or even snow. This is football, not baseball.

It's not a very active board, but you may want to check it out and see if any locals have some advice. In my trips to NYC, I rely on Public Transit and have had no issues getting around. For me, it's much easier and more practical...it also helps I have a brother who's lived out there for the past 10+ years. I'm looking forward to going to this game and hope there is a decent amount of UND fans there.

Looks like there is a proposal to add 12th game to the FCS schedule permanently. Not sure if the proposal is so conferences can have the option for a "Championship" game or if it's just to get another game on the schedule...

It appears the Gateway project at EWU is dead. I should have also mentioned Sand volleyball leagues at Bringwatt. Great way to meet people and enjoy a week day evening. They have leagues for all levels of players, including recreation/beginners. Leagues run Monday-Thursday evenings.

River Cities speedway has races on the weekends. For golfing, I really like the Larimore Course, and you stop at Larimore Dam or Turtle River State Park for fishing, bike riding, camping, etc.

I took a quick peak at the Bobcat board...Sounds like his son has Leukemia and is being treated at a very good hospital in SLC. Not sure if this is a factor, but hard to criticize if it did.

At least one Idaho poster who claims he has some good info says a WAC revival is gaining momentum. At least it's fun to speculate in the off season...if nothing else

Did you read the Idaho study that is linked? It says the NCAA has confirmed that the WAC still has FBS status. The question is will there be some type of merger and the schools involved. Both UND and USD are listed as going the FBS route. Obviously a lot has to happen financially for that to occur...or maybe there is some behind the scenes stuff taking place. Who knows? All we really know is that SV's theory seems more valid now than it did last week...at least in my eyes.
