Having 24 team, guarantees you get the top 16 teams into the tournament since there are several autobids for weak conferences. Now the question to answer is 16 too many teams? If you lower it to 16 overall, you'll only end up with the top 10 teams in the country.

I believe the criteria for selecting playoff teams states the threshold to be considered is 6 DI wins. The unwritten rule is 7 DI wins as a 6 DI team has never made it since the playoffs were expanded to 24 teams. As others have said, I am more baffled by EIU, SHSU, and UNH, although we probably should've been in before WIU as well.

Would be nice if it the video would include more than just hockey/REA.

Very similar to the Red River High School already has Roughriders so UND can't scenario... I agree it's a non-issue, thus the "rolling eyes" emoji. When Hawks was officially announced, I gave myself 24 hours to pout. Still have an hour left. I will then choose to move on. I still won't like Fighting Hawks and it will be a long time before I buy any Hawk apparel, but I will stop complaining because in the end, it really isn't that big of a deal...

I wish I was. My guess is the owner of this will make some good coin. I wouldn't be surprised if it outsells official UND Hawks merchandise for awhile...

Nope, not bad that your a hockey fan. I am too. I just happen to support all of UND's sports...apparently you do not, and that's your choice. I was just poking a little fun at the "Hockey only" crowd that's all. I'm glad you support some of UND's athletic programs.

It won't be the same logo and it won't incorporate anything that can be deemed to be related to Native American imagery. That's not my opinion. That is fact. William & Mary College's nickname is the tribe. They wanted to keep two feathers as a part of their logo to pay homage to their old "Native American" mascot. The NCAA said no...Not technically I guess, they said they would remain in violation if they chose to keep the feathers.

And it's not your reading skills necessarily, it's your comprehension skills. A UND Spokesperson is quoted as saying that any potential logos being passed around will potentially become UND's logo are "Not projecting the reality." That's fact whereas the quote by the UND Student body president is wishful thinking...

Yes, because the student body president hopes they will consider incorporating the old Sioux logo into the new logo. I guarantee you that won't happen, if you don't believe that, try contacting the NCAA , William and Mary, or any other school that has had to drop a Native American nickname.
