Is the REA not specifically named in the settlement?

What stings is they had the same opportunity at the Frozen Four...a building full of thousands and thousands of Sioux fans. Unfortunately it didn't happen. I'm sure if you ask the Duluth players and Fans they probably wouldn't want to trade places with us! I don't know if they could've won a NC in a better venue for their team and fans than the X. Nevertheless, a great season and one I'll remember for a long time.

I had problems all last year, too, but was able to get a decent signal by bumping west for one of the games. The Satellite Gods smiled on me that day, because it was the ONLY game that wasn't on DirecTV's FCS channels this past year (I think it was one of the UNO games), and after that night I was never able to get a reliable FTA signal for the rest of the season.

Wait...wait...wait... Was the puck in play, therefore placing the act within the "context" of the game? It's OK if it's between the whistles, right? I thought only the guys who drop the gloves after the whistle were hacks.

Not sure if you were implying that Boogaard was addicted to said painkiller, but I didn't read anything indicating that in the above article. He was battling concussion problems and may have been taking oxycodone for the headaches for all we know. The Star Tribune is reporting it as an accidental mixture of the painkiller and alcohol. It's an unfortunate deal, that's for sure.

I don't know, but could this be because the NHL owns the Phoenix Coyotes, who may have retained the rights to the Jets name when they moved from Winnipeg?

I guess I would assume the team numbers would be designated based on the placing of the top four seeds in the regionals. Therefore: 1 = Yale Regional 2 = UND Regional 3 = BC Regional 4 = Miami Regional That's also how the original bracket is structured: 1 plays 4, 2 plays 3.

I feel the Sioux are much better defensively with Marto on the blue line. A lot of things were hosed up last weekend because of Gregoire's absence. Get Gregoire healthy & Marto back on D and not much else needs to be tweaked in my opinion.

Although MN and WI weren't at the Final Five, this wasn't exactly a true "dry run" of future tournaments since the fans of those programs still bought ticket packages. We won't see the full effect on attendance until Minny and Wisco fans stop buying ticket packages.

I wasn't necessarily slamming Lucia as I was critical toward his assistants. Clearly the quality of his assistants isn't what it usually is. Sioux_Hab_it on the other hand...

Are the gophers ever going to play in a Final Five again before they start repeatedly missing the Big Ten tournament? I think their problems are completely due to coaching - especially at the assistant level. Their guys just aren't getting coached up.

Although I'd rather they put up 7 goals in 21 minutes than squeak out a one-goal victory against MTU...

I suppose they used Kariya as the measuring stick since that was his freshman season.

So you can make assumptions about Goon based on his posts, but one can't make assumptions about Cooke based on his actions on the ice?

Are you assuming the BTHC would snag St. Paul for its conference tourney? My guess is the BTHC would choose Chicago or something more "Big Ten" There would still be 4 Minnesota teams in the WCHA, so St. Paul would still make a lot of sense for the WCHA. Omaha certainly has the facility. Denver wouldn't draw well IMO.

I know you didn't say ALL Vikings fans, and you can count me as one who certainly doesn't think Rodgers is overrated. Packers fans are extremely lucky to have him. How many teams are able to replace a legend QB and not miss a beat, let alone win a SB just a few years later? Ask Miami, Denver, Buffalo...the list goes on. Vikings fans who think Rodgers is overrated are, in my mind, simply wishing they had what the Packers have at QB. Seriously...how many Vikings fans (myself included) didn't like Favre when he was a Packer, but loved him once he started winning games for the Vikings? Maybe if we're lucky we'll get Rodgers when he's 39 and has one good year left in him!

The whole "gotta be a Twins fan AND a Vikings fan" thing doesn't wash. I'm a fan of both the Twins and Vikings...does that mean I should be a gopher fan too??? The Packers were established in 1919...the Twins moved to Minny and the Vikings were established in 1961. I'm sure a heck of a lot of people from this area were fans of the Packers long before the Vikings started here because the Packers were the most regional team. Their kids and grand kids then grow up with the same rooting interest. Why would they switch because a new team comes to town? I'm from ND, born & raised a Sioux fan, and a UND alum. I sure as heck ain't gonna encourage my kids to be gopher fans because I now live near the TC metro!!!

More importantly...I think the Wooger used it during a Sioux/Gophs game!
