I love DirecTV, but since Fox College Sports is a CABLE service first I've always kept my FTA system ready. In fact, this year I've been watching on FTA for the superior picture and relying on my DirecTV for backup.

	Very nice! Thanks for that!

Yes, Kvalevog was the starter at the beginning of the year, and I believe the team started 6-0 or something like that.

I don't care. We're in no position to be dreading potential first round matchups. Just get in the tourney.

I'm assuming you meant to say "if they AREN'T the #1 seed..." The winner of the 3v6 game plays the 2. The winner of the 4v5 plays the 1. The 1 gets the night game unless MN finishes 2. In the previous 5-team format, the WCHA has forced the Thursday night 4/5 winner to turn around and play Friday afternoon several times, so there is precedent for this. In 2004 we were the #1 and got to play the 4/5 winner (UAA) Friday afternoon because the Gophers were the 3. Same with 2001. The point you make is still valid, though, because under the current format there is an option to give the 4/5 game winner more rest with an earlier game that did not exist under the previous format. I can't say for sure what the league would do. Essentially, yes...

Last year they played the 3 v 6 quarterfinal in the early slot. It makes sense to give the 3 seed the early slot so as to give them the longest possible rest between games. If MN stays in first, it would probably stay that way, but should they drop to 2 and the MN rule is in effect, who knows? Edit: After thinking about it for a second, the MN rule shouldn't matter because the early QF slot gives the 3 seed maximum rest regardless of the situation.

I'll take the team that played Saturday in Duluth minus the idiotic flurry of penalties. They dominated 5-on-5 that night.

Yep. I remember the early 90s...not too tough to walk up to the door and probably get a FREE ticket from someone giving them away for most series. Those last few years of Gino's tenure could certainly be classified as a down period. Once Blais took the reigns it ramped up from there.

	Hey...what's that supposed to mean?!?!
 -
I think it was the opponent, to be honest. Let's face it...we haven't exactly had barn-burners with MTU the past however many years. For the fans, there just isn't any intensity to a match-up between these two teams because the outcome has been one-sided for so long.

	I've got a traxis 3500.

	I'm getting 78% on the 30-inch.

I think you'll be OK. Mine was slightly different, too.

Have you tried scanning in the feed yet this year with USALS positioner on 87W? Before doing any "bumping" of the dish you should try doing a blind scan with USALS first. Off the top of my head, I can't remember exactly how to nudge the dish, but I know I had to change the positioner to DiSEqc 1.2 and then I watched the signal quality while moving the dish. I don't recall having to mess with teh DiSEqC switch setting that you're referring to. Hopefully PSB or maybe Sprig can chime in...guessing they'll be more active on the forum tonight closer to when the feed actually comes up.

Here is the satellite info from the Ralph website: AMC-3 Digital - 87.0° W Ku Band - Downlink Frequency: 12095 V 4880 Receiver Audio Info Left Channel - Mono Program Audio Right Channel - Cue tones ONLY Markets with WDAZ 102* - ON Markets with WDAZ 102# - OFF Markets without WDAZ 063* - ON Markets without WDAZ 063# - OFF IIRC, there were some troubles early in the season getting a good signal, and I think the remedy for most people with motorized systems was to bump slightly east and re-scan...It's been a while, so don't quote me on that, though!

IMO, as is usually the case, penalties will be key. Stay disciplined and out of the penalty box and it should be a 4 point weekend. Last weekend this team showed they can play with ANYONE 5-on-5.

No doubt. It is difficult to overstate the importance of a confident Carter Rowney heading into the stretch run.

How many of the top MN prospects actually stay in HS through their senior year?

Good point about the "perpetuity" aspect. It's probably easier to sell a kid on transition when there's a light at the end of the tunnel...but if the light goes out...well.... -
McDonagh (2007) was the most recent who went to Wisco.

Couple questions: How do the recruits that came in at the beginning of the transition with no hope of playoffs for their entire four years compare to the underclass recruits UND has now, that will at least have the possibility of sniffing Big Sky and postseason play? How does the potential of the recruits signed this year, with three- four full years of Big Sky and playoff eligibility, compare to those signed at the beginning of the transition? Basically, what I'm asking is: has UND's recruiting improved through the transition due to the fact that each class has an increased opportunity for Big Sky and postseason play? -
The Friday game is on CBS College Sports.
 -
Obviously. Currently not the case, though.
 -
Correct - for every NCAA postseason game, UND would not be able to wear the Sioux jerseys. Conference playoffs are not under the control of the NCAA, so the Sioux jerseys could be worn.

Quick question regarding the sanctions on the women's hockey team: If they finish, say, #3 in the PWR and match up with the #6 team, does the #6 team now get a home game? Or...will they re-seed UND to #5 and force them to travel to the new #4 (formerly #5)? That's a double whammy if they have to travel AND face a tougher opponent.
