If price is a true concern, then I get it, with a family, food, etc. Please don't punish the student athletes by not attending the game. When Texas Tech scheduled the University of North Dakota, a huge number of fans still showed up to watch us, a team they likely saw in the same light as we see Black Hills State. When UND hockey hosts Manitoba in an exhibition game, the place is sold out. You go to support your team. I will be at the game.

Who? Just kidding. I used to live in Rochester, and it amazed me that there were really no concerts/sports/entertainment rolling through a city of that size. Grand Forks and Fargo get 10x the shows they get down there. I suppose downtown Minneapolis is about 1.5 hours from Rochester, so that plays into it.

Welcome to the Sioux board. Not much to add that others haven't said. Attendence has been down the past few years, as the product on the field hasn't been the best, and unknown opponents perceived as nobodies came to the Alerus Center. The move to the Big Sky will turn things around, and I believe it has already started with recruiting. Can't wait to have your squad make the trip to Grand Forks.

It has already been decided. Our favorite University athletic squads will be named "Fighting Sioux" next season. I also look forward to buying a new "4th" jersey design. I am hoping it is a nice retro design, preferably the cursive "North Dakota", like the one the women's team wears. Anyone with a pic of that?

I have a name for them: "THE RESCUERS" They are bringing this program back. Thanks guys!

Well, this is 2 fridays in a row that have really really SUCKED!

I am totally with you on how different the environment is at a Final Five vs the Frozen Four. I kept saying to my buddies, "ANOTHER TV TIMEOUT!?". Believe it or not, this year's Frozen Four was probably about as good as it will get for atmosphere, activities, etc. That said, if the Sioux make it, I will try my best to make it, no matter where it is being held. If the Sioux were to win it all, I think it would change a lot of fans minds also.

Read played the system perfectly, waited it out, got to play for great fans in Bemidji through his senior year, and gets a great contract.

According to Schlossman's live chat yesterday, Frattin got his signing bonus, and a 1 game prorated salary paycheck for his appearance with the Leafs. Ended up being around 65K for the bonus, for a total of around $100K for playing in that one game! I would assume that is how it works for these guys, play in the minors for a salary of 50-60K, the NHL for 700-900K, and if you play only a few games with the big club, you receive a prorated salary for those, and ride the bus for an average salary in the minors the rest of the year.

I would guess because it isn't exactly a driveable destination for college fans, except for Huntsville I suppose. I have been to Tampa in early May, it was great. I might have to hit this one up.

Congrats to the Bulldogs for sure. I did read, however, that only 200 fans showed up at Amsoil arena to congratulate the team. Are you kidding me!? Those guys deserve better than that after winning the first title ever for their program.

This is typical from INCH. North Dakota hockey are the New York Yankees of the college world. Everyone who isn't a fan guns for us. It is okay, and a compliment.
