Did Bisonguy ever mention public perception? NDSU is indeed trying to garner national attention for their football......and so is UND. You point is no one cares about DI-AA, but many more people care about DI-AA than they do D2! You're right it is a silly arguement.

Them southern folks must not be to smart, because up here in the north country, I am surrounded by D2 schools and can still name five IAA schools. What you are saying is all pointless, because what Bisonguy said was right. The NCAA only recognizes as champions is DI-AA.... The BCS is not associated with the NCAA.

I'll play Kupchella. I believe the problem is mainly the coordinated swearing chants. He doesn't want that image for the university portrayed on TV and to others. That said, I don't think there is a viable solution. You'd have to throw out the entire student section or broke it up, which he has proposed. So my guess, people will talk, and nothing will change. Which doesn't both me.

Kupchella is the one who thinks there is a problem. I think he should pose the solution. He already said he doesn't know what to do and his only solution is to disassemble the student section.

There's part of the problem. Kupchella wants to improve student behavior and the student government proposes to move the student section, maybe I'm stupid but how is that going to improve student behavior Kupchella is upset about.

Is the problem that Kupchella doesn't want students to Stand OR doesn't want students to Swear at hockey games? Part of the problem is there is no defined problem, Kupchella simply states he wants fan behavior to improve. One thinks to himself, ummm ok.

Especially "I don't buy the whole geography thing," it's a crutch many people use way to often to bail themselves out, including the coaches, when indeed it has little to do with anything. "although basketball teams in the NCC are fairly equally funded." Hence UND should have at least won ONE conference title within the last ten years. And if anything the Equity funding quesiton about UND mens basketball helps UND overall (in NCC play), because they are above the half echelon in NCC basketball.
