  1. I think you missed the point again.
  2. I know we live close to Minnesota, but we ND also borders Montana.
  3. I think your missing the bigger point. Teams are constantly "moving up" the few large schools can't move up anymore despite the fact they want to. Looks like everyones trying to place themselves in position for a move to FBS: NDSU, UND, SDSU, UM. Meanwhile somethings going to give. Too many teams are going to be at the top. Rarely anyone moves down. Everything will be coming to a head sooner rather than later. And it all has to do with money. Everyone wants to play with the big boys. No body wants to play a little boy. The reality is people need to play with their peers. Same attendance same enrollment. After all we are basically playing the same teams of the old "Division 2." People water downed D2 So we water down D1. The NCAA won't tell you what division to play in but stricter rules will be in place. All this means is unstability. I pity the fool who is unable to see the changes coming. Its laughable to think UND couldn't and won't get into a conference as if they are hard to get into. Hardly. People act like these 5-10 years mean anything. They are statistically insignificant in the long run. I know many are use to a stable conference in the NCC where the founding members were together for basically 80 years. News flash. This is Division 1 things are constantly changing. The very nature of wanting to be "D1" shows itself Universities are always looking for the next best thing. I am only in my 20's and I am older than the Midcontinent I mean Summit league. Yet only one original member is still in the league. And the league ain't going to help travel costs. From North Dakota to Louisiana, Utah to Michigan. It has to be one of the most spread out conferences. UND will have no problems joining a conference.
  4. Thanks for posting this. I only heard part of this on the radio. Hak commented that its good to see the team joking around. Something like they hadn't had much opportunity to do that lately.
  5. That extra pass to an open met was a thing of beauty
  6. That was going to be fun to watch. Lammy is ripped! He would have done a number.
  7. This team doesn't make the extra pass to hit the open man. Instead opting to shoot.
  8. Same. It said ten minutes more like ten seconds before the game.
  9. Anyone watching the webcast yet?
  10. Did I miss them or is there no renderings of the new stadium? While the DykeHouse is nice. Its something they were missing for years. As I think the players didn't even have locker rooms at "the stadium" before that. Or it was like a trailer behind the seats?
  11. (if it happens) What small group of people get to decide the fate of this great university? What has history shown us at other universities changing their names? Any way for the people at UND to have the most powerful voice?
  12. Tickets wouldn't be tough to get for a Winter Classic. The tickets sold to a Winter Classic would draw a lot more general hockey fans who would rather watch UW. Not to mention there are more UW alum in the Metro than UND. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see an outdoor game in MPLS: Sioux vs Gophers
  13. Yet the population of the United States increased by 17% during that time period. Some would argue "no growth" is negative growth.
  14. You're welcome. Looks like there was already a newer topic on it at: http://forum.siouxsports.com/index.php?sho...&pid=290761
  15. Interesting to see how far we have come. Or not come for that matter. Still on the jlg architects website.
  16. Bulbs are one issue to think about. The average bulb lasts 3000 hours at low power, 2000 hours at full lamp power. Which is about 7 cents an hour or so.
  17. Picture quality up just as good as any lcd, but not as bright during the day time is about the only "issue" you can spend more money and get higher Lumens meaning an even brighter picture. That one is a Optima HD65. Type it into google and tons of reviews about it. It's one of the more popular projectors for that price range. And yes you need a screen to project it onto. Anything from a $5 4x8 painted white piece of drywall to $100 pull down screen.
  18. I own this. 720p. 1600 Lumens. DLP. I like it cause its portable and only $650. Its hard watching anything less than a 100" tv now
  19. (in my best Oprah voice) "You get free tuition, you get free tuition, you get free tuition." Come one. Come all. Text "NDSU" to 25000 and a $10 donation will be added to your phone bill to help bailout NDSU.
  20. Well that works out good cause Memorial Stadium already has a track around the football field just like UND's new indoor practice facility will.
  21. Can't they just "dome" Memorial Field? It seems like its already everything they want....not to mention seats and tradition.
  22. I think its a road win for the Sioux based on the title of the thread. Congrats Sioux.
  23. Maybe in the 80's? but that is not much money nowadays. There is quite a few houses sold in GF for $500,000. And that doesn't produce any revenue.
  24. There is no doubt that a Buffalo Wild Wings would be wildly successful at the current former Suite 49 location. Its not a coincidence that BWW is going to build a new location in Grand Forks. Anyone with half a brain knew that Suite 49 was probably going to fail. Lets see: you have a market of 11,000 students within walking distance and you don't cater to them. Instead you advertised yourself as being "upscale" aka I cost a lot of money to go here . Its hard for anything upscale to work in GF let alone on the NorthEnd next to a place where students want "cheap."
