  1. Apparently they've never heard the joke about how mopeds are like "larger" girls.
  2. Montana 23 App St 6 13:13 to play Weber St 50 SFA 40 F
  3. Try this. http://scores.espn.go.com/ncf/preview?gameId=332432692
  4. EWU takes out #25 Oregon State. That doesn't negate NDSU's win (tip of cap to 'SU), but they may not be the story of the weekend anymore. Seems the top of FCS, for a game, should be able to handle an FBS school. For a game. I don't believe an FCS school has the depth to play a full schedule of FBS teams, especially those from power conferences. For UND? Get to the top of FCS. For NDSU? They scheduled a month to recover. That's part of this run: smart scheduling. Final thought: may the biggest of the big be talking about their own division and playing insular schedules to prevent these types of losses in the future?
  5. It's never as bad as you think it is in bad times. It's never as good as you think it is in good times.
  6. Indubitably.
  7. If you are serious you need to have that myopia checked.
  8. Thought Bisonville.com was about NDSU(AAS) but there are a ton of UND threads there.
  9. Yours, needing to attempt to defend what is indefensible, is showing.
  10. What is so bad about plus four and getting the first hit jitters out of the way? That is not a downer. It is a good thing.
  11. Well, there is precedent in some places ... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/northkorea/10272953/Kim-Jong-uns-ex-lover-executed-by-firing-squad.html
  12. I'm bummed that there's no Midco HD tonight, just for the rest of the season. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=209202961
  13. Shot-gun, four wide (three to the wide side right) and a back to the right of Bartels. Bobbled snap. Picked up by Bartels, scramble over left guard, fall forward. Second and six.
  14. It's the name. How do I know? Look at the thesis document cover pages from the NDSUAAS website: http://www.ndsu.edu/search/?q=%22agriculture+and+applied+sciences%22&x=0&y=0
  15. The most common roster shape in both the Blais and Hakstol eras is three goalies, eight defenseman, and fifteen forwards, for a total of twenty-six. With the departure of "Jim", guess what the roster shape is.
  16. Too bad NDSU doesn't compete in the women's sport where UND sends players to the Olympics (for more than one country). I guess we shan't bring that up. #buttWhockey
  17. I'd say Mollberg is in a pretty good position. Everyone knows he's going to get playing time, but he doesn't get the monstrous scrutiny of a freshman starter. I'll say right now that someone will play themselves into the starting role for Game 2.
  18. No, this is UND following the NCAA settlement and protecting the its trademarks. ScottM can explain better, but basically, to protect the trademark, UND has to periodically use it in public commerce. Hence, we'll see retro gear marketed from time to time.
  19. Did I miss the press release about the Crimson Tide's second teamers transferring to Pocatello?
  20. All crime is hate crime. There is no need for special designation.
  21. At least they are going with every game being a 3 point game. The NHL system with 2 point (win in regulation) or 3 point games (win in SO and SO loser gets magically appearing extra point) is corrupt in my opinion. My opinion? Five point games. 5 - Win in regulation 4 - Win in OT 3 - Win in SO 2 - Lose in SO 1 - Lose in OT 0 - Lose in regulation Happy headache Jim.
  22. I agree with those excerpts.
  23. It just ... screams ... ad campaign.
  24. I'd say no move was the right move. All three designs were straight-up Disney material. No. Wait. DU's last mascot was that too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denver_Boone
  25. Pragmatically, if the Big 5 get their way they pull about 70 FBS programs into their own "D4" level of college football. And please recall what Nick Saban said. He said those should play against each other. Too radical? Tell that to the "no more FCS games" Big Ten and the commissioner of the Pac 12. They have already started to implement insular scheduling. So what is it? Smoke? I'd say ... Fire. What's left of FBS after "D4"? About 40 teams. Will a 40 team division work? No. So what'll happen? Change. What'll the change be? The remainder of FBS, the "below the line" schools, will need someone else to play, someone to fill out a (let's guess) a 70 to 80 team division. Likely candidates? The top portion of FCS. Logistics, details, to make that happen? Your guess is as good as mine; however, '82 puts out some of the concepts that seem reasonably likely.
