Dakota Student Editor Resigns After Arrest

14:58 14:59 15:00 Well, this thread's "15 minutes" are up. -
"Fan base"? Is that what one calls all the empty seats I saw via television for the inaugural "Wooden Salad Bowl ... on a stick"? T'was not a proud showing for either afternoon game, and the night game wasn't exactly "capped out" either.

Now I'm agreeing with a Gopher; last week it was a Bison. I think I need to visit my physician.

Back when a FB coach hadn't been named yet I heard someone high up in UND Athletics say it would be at least the last week of January before a VB coach was named.

Not a fan of the oil when gas is an option. No wood burning option either.

Folks in MN and ND are back online; WI should be shortly. Tip of cap to everyone who was out in the real cold to deal with this.
-
Yes, but some folks still think those are solutions. They need reality stated at times.

The wind mills that were in auto shut-down because the wind was too strong? Yes, the shut down when the wind is too strong (to prevent damage). And it was overcast. This is a bad scenario: Limited natural gas in the middle of a nasty January cold snap.

The man who led the Rough Riders: "I have always said I would not have been President had it not been for my experience in North Dakota." The state nickname? “Roughrider State” - This name originated in a state-supported tourism promotion of the 1960s and 70s. It refers to the First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry which Theodore Roosevelt organized to fight in the Spanish-American War. In fact, the "Roughriders," which included several North Dakota cowboys, fought dismounted in Cuba due to logistical problems. In both 1971 (House Bill No. {H.B. No.} 1383) and 1973 (G.B. No. 1443) the Legislative Assembly defeated bills intended to change the words Peace Garden State on state license plates to Roughrider Country.

Caracas 2024? -
I don't build a house without thinking of two things: - How do I heat it without electricity? - How do I heat it without natural gas?
-
Well, it's worse than I thought. Seems the explosion of one line may have damaged the other two that run parallel. Xcel is asking customers to limit gas usage (60 degree thermostats and no gas appliances). And, of course this happens with 30+ mph winds and projected -20 to -30 temperatures the next two nights. http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/424751/

Hasn't UND always done class checks with repercussions on the person and the team? Some of those are just plain "no felonies or misdemeanors". Others are "do what your grandmother taught you". UND Hockey players live on-campus for at least one year still, don't they? And do they still eat at Squires? You used to see the whole team in there eating (back in the day).

That requirement was one mandated by the prior regime. I believe Bubba requires walking the walk before talking the talk.

All he does is intercept touchdowns?

For one play, yes.

The video boards at The Al are surrounded by fixed advertising. If all that space could be video board ... Expensive? Yes, ... but if the existing boards could be sold to The Betty ...

The guys with their own TV networks (aka lots of money) want to pay "full cost of attendance" (tuition, fees, plus cash stipends) to student athletes.

Bubba's Staff: Who's it gonna be?.......and when?
The Sicatoka replied to Siouxperfan777's topic in Football
I can live with Freund staying on, and here's why: The QB coach can only do so much. When your OC is not doing smart play calling the QB is being put into situations that are more difficult than need be. An example is the Portland State game. The (former) OC did not give any consideration to "clock". He kept trying to #chuckthepigskin rather than run the ball once in a while to (a) keep the defense honest, and more importantly (b) keep the clock running with his offense on the field and a 3 point lead. Specifically (from the UND/PSU game, 4th quarter, UND leading 10-0): NORTH DAKOTA drive start at 14:48. 1-10 UND 11 Jake Miller rush for 3 yards to the UND14 (Corey Crowder;Junior Alexis). 2-7 UND 14 Joe Mollberg pass complete to Romon Bridges for 5 yards to the UND19 (J. Shoemaker). 3-2 UND 19 Jake Miller rush for 5 yards to the UND24, 1ST DOWN UND (David Edgerson). R9 Wow, a rushing first down! But then you follow that up with ... 1-10 UND 24 Jake Miller rush for 1 yard to the UND25 (Sadat Sulleyman). 2-9 UND 25 Joe Mollberg pass incomplete to Greg Hardin. 3-9 UND 25 Joe Mollberg pass incomplete to Blair Townsend (Dennis Fite). Followed up by ... 4-9 UND 25 Mitch Meindel punt BLOCKED, recovered by UND Mitch Meindel at UND15 (blocked by MichaelPlummer), Mitch Meindel rush for 3 yards to the UND18. 7 plays, 17 yards, 2:26 I guess I can't hang that onto the QB, or the QB coach. You've been holding onto a 10 point lead most of the game. Their offense has done nothing to this point. Help your defense out; keep them off the field for a couple more minutes by ... #RunTheRockRunTheClock
