University of North Dakota Hockey 2016 - 2017 Season
The Sicatoka replied to Frozen4sioux's topic in Men's Hockey
If that's the plan, do the coaches bring in another forward, and if so, who? We've lost 5F and 3D. You need those numbers to be at a 15F, 8D roster. -
I'd bet Iowa (folks lobbying for rink in Coralville).
-
Bringing in Miami would only serve to further frustrate (alienate?) the UMn and UW hockey programs and fan bases.

My guess? F: Yon, Smith, Bowen, Hoff, and some hack named Jost. D: Poolman, Johnson, and ________. I'd have said Bast, but he only played 9 games last season (8 RS, 1 playoff) per Eliteprospects.com. If the coaches think Bast is not ready I'd say it's Evers. -
I miss Shangri-La.

As soon as this "Gopher Fan" said Duluth or Omaha his credibilty needle bounced off the bottom stop. Their "mother ships" would not go for it. West of the Mississippi (to help UMn and UW) the only mens hockey affiliate options are: - North Dakota - one of just 47 public institutions with Medicine and Law schools - Denver - maybe just elitist enough, but the Moutain time zone could work against them; the plus would be BTN in Denver - Air Force - I doubt they'd leave a conference with Army - Colorado College - the dark horse, but an academically highly regarded private I really don't think you'll split up DU and CC. Write off the sub-schools in Nebraska and Minnesota (UMD, plus MSUM, BSU, SCSU).

NASCAR guy to respond in three, ... two ...

And NASCAR drivers believe F1 drivers are inept and F1 drivers consider NASCAR drivers incapable.

Go Engineers!

That was worth repeating.

Just as others have said: (liberal*) white guilt. *Yeah, I'm assuming, but he is an editor for the Washington Post so I'm pretty sure.
-
UMn is government (public) so they put the slots out for bid and took the low bidders.
-
I was going to say his "24 to 48" was in hexadecimal, but that's not enough hours.

UND? Full? No. Affiliate? Maybe. How badly do Minnesota and Wisconsin want their hated rival back (to fill a rink and re-inspire fans)? Michigan, MSU, OSU, and PSU got Notre Dame for that role. Will the eastern wing toss UMn and UW a (yes, affiliate) bone? As far as full membership, pick the largest television that adjoins the B1G footprint that the B1G is not in already. Look at schools there. If those schools are AAU you have your short list. I did that without special fonts or long-winded monologues.

I'd say about five scholarships just freed up.

There sure are a lot of folks here that aren't concerned about SV's theories.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

I may have baited jdub into the "minimum" statement because I made it to him in a PM. But yes, I too view 16 as a minimum to be DI with a dream. -
Is this where the joke about SCSU just being a high school with cigarettes goes?

What was your favorite Derek Shepherd moment?!

I like my officials like I like my defensemen in their own zone*: Unnoteworthy. Don't do something that makes me notice you out there. *More often than not, if you remember a defenseman's play in their own zone it involves an "Oops! Crap." -

It said " ... first year or two". Calc III was fall of sophomore year. Diff Eq I was spring. Somewhere in those two years, calc-based Physics I, II, and III were knocked out too. Then the tough classes started. -

I'm talking Calc III. -
It'd be better if you could pipe in some dramatic cut-in music and had someone like Ron Burgundy read it.

... but who's counting ...

They write him (SV) off as a sham and a snake-oil huckster, but they give him a dedicated audience that even Rush Limbaugh or NPR Morning Edition would be jealous of.
