I followed @UNDSID expecting UND Sports related info. Instead, now, it's something else. If it was his personal account, he shouldn't have been using the @UNDSID name before. If it's UND's official account, he shouldn't be using it for personal items.

Right now it feels like bait-and-switch. I care what Jayson wants to put out as part of his day job. The rest is noise. There's enough noise in life.

I love that tactic: You may have the top to bottom responsibility for 12000 people, a quarter billion dollar budget, a billion (?) in assets, but you're clueless when I don't like what you're doing so it's now "mine". I boldly predict the purveyors of that petition would curl up and melt after one day of carrying the responsibilities of running a university.

If there are only "a few" South kids, kind of by definition, yes. I don't know if the "a few" posit is accurate. I do find it believable. I know before Davies opened all of the South boys hockey team lived south of I-94 and all but a handful lived south of 32nd Avenue S (now Davies district).

So why doesn't he have a personal account and the Official @UNDSID account that he's assigned to run. I'm pretty sure he has a personal email account and his official "@und.edu" email account. Same thing.

I don't completely blame Kennedy for the spectacle. The University Senate whined that Schafer was an autocrat and they weren't involved. So Kennedy involved the USenate, specifically their IAC subcommittee. The IAC decided the public spectacle was a good idea. They sat up front and watched the performances for their entertainment. Any blame goes to Kennedy solely for allowing the spectacle to happen. But if he'd have stopped it, he'd have been declared as another evil autocrat. He gave the IAC and USenate the power. They. Whiffed. His only other mistake was going along with their whiff. But again, if he didn't take their recommendation --> autocrat. Now he can do what he wants because he can say, simply, when I gave you the power you whiffed and now a whiff is not an option.

He's a former Treasurer of Federated Dept Stores (think: Macy's) and was rated one of America's Best CFOs. He was the architect of a major corporate acquisition (Pillsbury of Hagen Daas). The man knows how to shape and run a budget. I'm pretty sure the ND SBHE hired him and his experience knowing these issues were on the horizon for UND and the whole of the NDUS. Really? You may have misinterpreted something. The dollars I've seen mentioned are the NCHC exit fee ($1 million-ish) and things like revenue sharing and media rights.
