Double elimination tournament bracket play of this. Winner decides.

Problem? I see conversation. About a public figure. Who's made a change.
-
I believe ASU was the target, but then the big open question (arena) on ASU still doesn't have an answer. So there sits the B1G at seven.
-
I can't control them (as long as they stay within forum guidelines).
-
Uh ... no. I can see IP addresses. And, he is a public figure by the very nature of his job.

Who's attacking? It is a legitimate question. --> What changed and why? I put it here assuming @UNDSID was a ... UND Sports ... topic of conversation.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)
The Sicatoka replied to Cratter's topic in Community
Shhhh ... don't confuse them with reality. -
Only the semis on today? I didn't see this on the tube* while eating my turkey sammich just now. *OK, flat panel.
-
You're late.

I followed @UNDSID expecting UND Sports related info. Instead, now, it's something else. If it was his personal account, he shouldn't have been using the @UNDSID name before. If it's UND's official account, he shouldn't be using it for personal items.

Right now it feels like bait-and-switch. I care what Jayson wants to put out as part of his day job. The rest is noise. There's enough noise in life.

Any decision, every decision, will come down to .... dollars.

Idaho and NMSU would like to speak to you about how their FB programs left the Sun Belt. (Hint: voted out, ejected)

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)
The Sicatoka replied to Cratter's topic in Community
Yeah ... a committee, like the last one that had to look at what to do with a fraction of the overall UND budget. You all remember that. It'll be awesome to see the chairs up there lobbying to save their departments. -
Based on the response to this thread, I guess I'm not the only person who noticed and wondered.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

I love that tactic: You may have the top to bottom responsibility for 12000 people, a quarter billion dollar budget, a billion (?) in assets, but you're clueless when I don't like what you're doing so it's now "mine". I boldly predict the purveyors of that petition would curl up and melt after one day of carrying the responsibilities of running a university. -
If there are only "a few" South kids, kind of by definition, yes. I don't know if the "a few" posit is accurate. I do find it believable. I know before Davies opened all of the South boys hockey team lived south of I-94 and all but a handful lived south of 32nd Avenue S (now Davies district).

Wha-a-a-at? Seriously? <-- The %gobc Official Theme Song

So why doesn't he have a personal account and the Official @UNDSID account that he's assigned to run. I'm pretty sure he has a personal email account and his official "@und.edu" email account. Same thing.

I don't completely blame Kennedy for the spectacle. The University Senate whined that Schafer was an autocrat and they weren't involved. So Kennedy involved the USenate, specifically their IAC subcommittee. The IAC decided the public spectacle was a good idea. They sat up front and watched the performances for their entertainment. Any blame goes to Kennedy solely for allowing the spectacle to happen. But if he'd have stopped it, he'd have been declared as another evil autocrat. He gave the IAC and USenate the power. They. Whiffed. His only other mistake was going along with their whiff. But again, if he didn't take their recommendation --> autocrat. Now he can do what he wants because he can say, simply, when I gave you the power you whiffed and now a whiff is not an option.

NDUS Budget Cuts (changed name to be system-wide)

Change.org petitions: As effective as hashtag campaigns since ... never. Those (I'm resisting the word "kids") ... < ahem > students ... need to understand the following: THMK* has run budgets larger than UND's through fiscal crises and transitions much worse than this. He's a former Treasurer of Federated Dept Stores (think: Macy's) and was rated one of America's Best CFOs. He was the architect of a major corporate acquisition (Pillsbury of Hagen Daas). The man knows how to shape and run a budget. I'm pretty sure the ND SBHE hired him and his experience knowing these issues were on the horizon for UND and the whole of the NDUS. When the budget is a mess because revenues have been cut and you have to lower expenses you don't have a biology professor, who's still trying to understand debits and credits, assets and depreciation, try to straighten it out. *The Honorable Mark Kennedy -
This link explains "%" and is R-rated and definitely not safe for work. You've been duly warned.

Really? You may have misinterpreted something. The dollars I've seen mentioned are the NCHC exit fee ($1 million-ish) and things like revenue sharing and media rights.

How come when I search for @UNDSID I get this: https://twitter.com/undsid/media?lang=ms Or more specifically, this: https://twitter.com/undsid When did that account morph into @JaysonHajdu ? And why?

Pure speculation, but I wonder if as long as there's women's hockey there's a "hockey beat" and everything else. No women's hockey and Brad has to pick up some other load.
