So ... nobody's linked to the MJHL website to learn more? https://www.mjhlhockey.ca/

Yes.

Felt sorry for the U18 lads as they were stuck in MSP Sunday night.

So how would private equity investments work in light of the DI principal of institutional control? Wouldn’t the investors not the university run things? And how is that not professionalism? The NCAA best tread lightly. Lose that amateur tag and Congress could get interested and that’s always fun. https://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/2018/12/want-to-buy-a-stake-in-the-pac-12-conference-its-exploring-taking-on-private-equity-partners.html

Santa doesn’t punt. And he sure doesn’t run double reverses.

Agree, disagree, no matter, the data point remains: UND just lost a verbal commit QB to a G5 FBS. That would lead me to believe that even shoe-string budget G5 FBS has a stronger pull than FCS.

There's nothing wrong with Wentz as a player. Now his offensive line in Philly ...

Here's a better school for that ... and maybe in general.

You're about a month late to the mountain there broke-beak. Brien's put his own (c) on the item. He owns all the rights. Just send him cash instead.

And here I thought Grand Forks had the better sandbagging crews ...

As a wise mentor counselled me long ago: "Stuff takes time."

Funny how those things work ... Normally it's "We're most affected! We decide!" ... until the ward wants something that is a bit pricier than the ward alone can afford and then it's "The city needs this so send money please".

Through the first 8 games I'd have agreed. I think he started to figure it out at the end. There are other positions I'm more concerned with.

Does Braden Hanson count?

The more I ponder these 23 the more I think I'm in agreement with those saying between now and February the focus should be: - a QB straight from HS - a true NG, preferably someone who could be in the rotation sooner than later - another safety (a JC transfer would work here) Frankly, that's it. Focus on those needs. Disclaimer: I'm assuming there are no departures that create a need.

Decommits from USAFA, visits Michigan State, and then visits DII Saginaw Valley? https://football.thedzone.com/players/emanuel-ferguson

Don't most guys decommit when they think they've got a shot at going up a tier? (See: Case from FCS --> G5 FBS)

On offense the "21 group" means 2 RB, 1 TE, 2 WR on the field. An 11 group is 1 RB, 1 TE, 3 WR. The WRs brag they are so smart, s-m-r-t, because they don't have to be told their number; they can do math. I'm guessing you know 34 or 43 defensive fronts and nickel (5 DB) or dime (6 DB) sets.
-
All that said, let's look at Bubba's 23 for '19. 6 OL, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 RB -- to me the need is there: a QB. Otherwise it's a 21 package. 3 DL, 4 LB, 4 DB -- looks like a base 34. The question become the mix of DL (a nose) and DB (S v CB).

... that's what she said ...

To me a signing class should look like a 22 man starting roster. You grab specialists (K, P, LS) when you need them or when they fit. That's not to say that can't "float" the 22 package year to year, meaning this year might be a base 3-4 defense and a 21 group offense, and next year is a nickel defense and an 11 offense; and the next year is a goal line defense (44 heavy) and a 13 package. Heck, one year may be a dime defense and a heavy, goal line offense. But in those year-to-years the fundamentals, the minimums, stay: 5 OL, a QB, 3 DL, 3 LB, a safety. What else is needed, or if it's a strong class for < fill in position here > dictates the rest.

The UND coaches I know are always looking for a good lead, or at least hockey and softball have appreciated the directions I pointed them.

Say what? Go back and look at the sleeve stripe on their jersey. That's precisely why I say a maple with a cherry/mahogany stain. I'm saying maple in that environment because it'll be more durable than cherry. And I'm not saying they can't use some clear finish straight maple as trim or edging or baseboard. All that said, if it's not UND a fiberboard with this base is good enough for them. Think NDSU offers consulting on said subject materials?
