Your fellow Bison fan brought him up quite easily. I guess you're behind.

University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season

I didn't figure it was good when Thome wasn't even able to go pre-game warm-ups* or run the gate either night. *At home you can warm up three goalies. -
University of North Dakota 2018-19 Season

At one time I believe it was Mike Prpich that was the "dogs and cats" goalie meaning two are hurt, one is playing, and you have to have one dressed on the bench. If you only have Scheel and "Bob" and one goes down, then what, ... Mark Senden straps on the "Tools of Ignorance*" and runs the gate? *I apply that phrase to goalie gear and catcher's gear. -
And yet, based on media reporting, NDSU fans immediately knew and brought up the name ...
-
She didn't respond.

EWU's game planning?
-
As evidence, an NDSU fan quickly brought up the name "Austin Gordon" from 2016.
-
The media picking and choosing what and when to report on newsworthy topics makes them no longer objective reporters. Pick and choosing what to put into the public square is what a paid media relations (aka the spin meisters) department does.
-
As I said earlier, Vegas books? EWU's game plans?

Ms. Hoole, sports director at KVLY, knew of the failed appeal (meaning she knew of the suspension also) on the Wednesday before the championship game by her own tweets. (See earlier in this thread.) I'm yet to have someone link to her reporting on the matter (missing a starter due to NCAA action) between Wednesday and game day. Losing a player for a game, and a season, is newsworthy and yet went unreported by Ms Hoole until more convenient for NDSU.
-
Even a closing blurp on a 10:00 PM newscast about "no Robbins in Frisco" would've given them cover. Instead we wonder, rightly, with cause, what else they know that goes unreported. And that, yes, is worse than the situation that got us here.
-
Surely an NCAA rules violation and suspension can be announced without violating HIPAA else how did Clemson lose some players.
-
I've already said there's no conspiracy here. What I've said is this is a case study on how Fargo media gives NDSU Football deferential treatment regarding certain stories that may be disadvantageous and that is not the media's job.
-
"What else do they know but are choosing to not report?" is the completely logical outcome of admitting they (Hoole) knew newsworthy information on Wednesday but sat on it until Saturday evening. Her job is not to 'protect' NDSU Football but to report on NDSU Football, good, bad, or otherwise.
-
We found out they knew Wednesday about a failed appeal. When did they know a test failed? "What else do they know but are choosing to not report?" See the problem they've made for themselves?
-
So if that's NDSU's reason for not issuing a release, fine. NDSU's call. But if the media finds out the information and holds it for the same reason they're conspiring. That's failing Journalism 101. And it begs the question ... "What else do they know but are choosing to not report?"
-
Are Valley City kids still playing for Jamestown? I'm guessing Beulah-Hazen and Bottineau have "reach" like that also.
-
Here's a blast from the past: Lots of info from when this drama started. So what happened between this ("My understanding then is that there's no requirement in those documents that it be used as a golf course," Johnson said of the land.) and now?
-
Honestly, NDSU could've shed all of this with one short press release faxed at 0100 on Thursday morning before the game. "< blah blah blah > tested positive for X during standard post-game NCAA testing. < blah blah > given to player(s) by < blah blah > oversight in failing to apply for exemption < blah blah blah > appeal denied. No further comments at this time." For all we know they many have.
-
The problem is this: By not reporting truth, especially unpleasant truth, when they find it they've opened up themselves (the media) and by association NDSU to uglier questions. And with that they've allowed for rampant speculation based on what has come out. It all revolves back to ... "What else do they know but are choosing to not report?" That's the problem, the situation, they've created.

The State budget? The University budget?

First, Mr Scheel, nice job this weekend. And thank you for not adding additional "colors" to the painted area. Next, Mr Kawaguchi, nice job taking your time and finishing in OT. You could've panicked and fired wide; instead, you took your time and buried it. Finally, to the team: You've dug a deep hole. You showed what you can do this weekend. So, what do you want to be remembered as? -
#QualityLosses ? How do we get the hockey committee to accept the FCS selection committee's criteria?
-
Heavens to Betsy, has someone figured out no matter the scheme it's still about how well your offensive line plays?
