    2018 Season

... nor is it exceptional. Now before Bison fans go bonkers, that's a compliment. As I have begrudgingly stated before ... NDSU does nothing exceptional on offense, but what they do they do exceptionally well.
  2. Paging @MafiaMan ...
  3. Not ironic, just coincidental. http://cisl.edu/wordpress/lessons/coincidence-vs-irony-in-english.htm
  4. Could it be as simple as Radioguy A knows Radioguy B and they are fillin'/killin' time on each other's show?
  5. Now having said why Augie (private) makes sense, some will say "but ORU". I'd say going after Augie is a hedge if ORU exits again.
  6. There's a better reason than funding. It makes all the conference meeting minutes not subject to open meetings laws. If all the members of a conference are public institutions you can ask for an open record. They're all public entities. If one member of a conference is a private school the law protects their privacy; conference minutes and such become private (short of criminal investigations). Don't believe me? Why is Vanderbilt (private) still in the SEC with all those publics? Why is Northwestern (private) still in the B1G with all those publics? Baylor and TCU are privates amongst the big publics of the Big 12. Stanford fits better in the PAC12 than some, but they are also the magic private. The ACC is the most balanced public/private of the P5 group. Looking at the G5 schools, SMU in the AAC; Rice in the C-USA. The ones that don't run with a private in the fold? The MAC and the Mountain West and the Sun Belt. I'd say those conferences need to smarten up and get a private in the mix to obscure their conference dealings.
  7. Advice given to me a long time ago: Always and never are sucker-play words. Beware of them.
  8. The SD wing wants to lock down Sioux Falls.
  9. HEY! We resemble that remark.

Not. Gonna. Happen. Look closely: it's the same group as ever trying to get the NCAA to listen, and the NCAA still isn't taking their calls.
  11. It's more lion than bear: look at the tail. And they're more like Pegasus wings. DoveLiPeg.
  12. I was making sure gfhockey understood he didn't miss an agenda item at the last %gobc meeting.
  13. Siouxperfan7 goin' all Hollywood on us again. <-- That's your clue if you don't see the new LA Rams stadium in that pic.
  14. That new W&M logo is "recognizable"?
  15. gundy: In a perfect world you have 5 full starting line-ups (22 x 5 = 110) plus specialists (say 3 or 4 slots). Attrition over time would keep you in that 100-105 area. I say 5 because Sr, Jr, So, Fr, RFr. Recruit a starting lineup every year.
  16. OL are like money, goaltending, and pizza: Ain't no such thing as "enough".

    40 years too late.
  18. Photos or it never happened.
  19. OK, I've been out of the loop a while but see all these commits via Twitter. Is this early? Seems like it to me, or I might just be out of sync. Is the staff doing something earlier/better/right this year? Confused, but not upset.
  20. So a Minot State alumna and donor in life donates to Minot State post-mortem. So is that blame Kennedy or credit Shirley? So hard to keep up ...
  21. RE: Archie's bird. Some say "Nazi-ish", and I see it too. But there's something else: It's a little to Native. Seems like it could be on a totem pole somewhere.
  22. Um, .... mentioning "flops", your question just may have. Alex Cloyd, Hunter Pinke, and Luke Fiedler each had one. That's three. And they combined for 16 receptions. https://und_ftp.sidearmsports.com/custompages/www.fightingsioux.com/fls/13500/stats/football/2017/TEAMCUME.HTM
