The Sicatoka Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The announcers don't know that they're on the mic all the time... Are they doing play-by-play during play or do you just have a couple board operations monkeys who don't know their patched in on the broadcast? Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 FYI updates: OU 14, Mizzou 6 Pitt 10, WVU 7 So #1 and #2 in the F...BS system are trailing. That should make the pollsters and computers smoke on Monday. Pitt was the biggest dog on the board today. If you took the 28 points, it's looking pretty good! Quote
hrkac Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Gophers score again. 3-1 good. they'll be over-confident next weekend. Quote
patman Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Just saw an ad on FSN "Dean Blais vs. Doug Woog, Qwest Gophers live Fri vs. UND 7 PM- Bubble Hockey Matchup" Sounds like fun. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 It's DU senior night. They're running long intermission by about 9 minutes. And the DU folks had pictures taken on-ice with mommy and daddy. What is this, mites? PS - Mizzou just tied at 14. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Gophers score again. 3-1 Ex-lax is a little leaky in net for MTU tonight Quote
Siouxmama Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I would just like to point out that I am "taking one for the team" and listening on the radio rather than watching the webcast... I'm about ready to log out and just listen to TH, too. Tired of blotchy audio and video. Quote
nodak hockey fanatic Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 no one told the sioux announcers it was parents night! haha, they aren't too happy about it, now they have an extra 12 minutes to fill. Quote
hrkac Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Ex-lax is a little leaky in net for MTU tonight yeah but he's better than anyone in nets for the puke colored brown and pee yellow Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Gophers score again. 3-1 Just like last night, Tech's got 'em right where they want 'em. Quote
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Are they doing play-by-play during play or do you just have a couple board operations monkeys who don't know their patched in on the broadcast? No they're doing play-by-play... But they're talking during commercials and intermissions and everything and you can hear everything they're saying, it's funny Quote
BIGSIOUX Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I'm about ready to log out and just listen to TH, too. Tired of blotchy audio and video. Mine is the best its been all season. Who knows with this technology s&!t these days Announcers karaoke to John Cougar Quote
dagies Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 And now for a "If Doug Woog was doing the game" moment: With just 17 seconds left this period if UND doesn't score they'll come out to a big, clean sheet of ice and a fresh #1 powerplay unit, Vande Oshie, Duncler, and Velder, to start the second. HAHA! In watching the last 2 periods last night a most of this I'm really impressed with Marto's offensive abilities. That kid has really came close to making good things happen on a few occasions. Needs to stay on his feet, though. People of covered the weird officiating thing already. I couldn't believe the tackling Denver got away with last night and now tonite things swing completely the other way around. Sioux should be taking better advantage, though, than so few shots on goal with 3-4pp opportunities in the first period. Last night it seemed Denver really blocked a ton of Sioux shots. Tonite the Sioux seem to be doing that. Seemed like the Sioux had the better of the play but later in the period Denver started catching up. Hopefully we can put one in on the PP right off and really put Denver in a hole. Quote
Siouxmama Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Who the he!! was singing! Bon Jovi he is NOT EDIT: OK. John Couger he is not. Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 yeah but he's better than anyone in nets for the puke colored brown and pee yellow Correct but unfortunately not tonight (as it stands now anyways) Quote
Bob in Wisconsin Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Oh man, these guys are signing along to "Jack and Diane", not knowing they are live. I may have to record that when this goes to the "on demand" section of Siouxextra. Quote
HaksHomey Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Gophers score again. 3-1 Michigan Tech giving up 2 points to a bottom tier school is not necessarily a bad thing Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 TJ said he was a 100%. He's TJ Hundred. Quote
dagies Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The announcers said DU lost the face-offs in the first period 16-4. That's amazing. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The announcers said DU lost the face-offs in the first period 16-4. That's amazing. I think it was the other way around last night! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Geez, do we get another warm up before the 2nd??? Maybe Mannino will be cold! Quote
The Sicatoka Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 O'Keefe likes 4 officials. Hennessy comments that they aren't calling the obstruction like the NHL. O'Keefe is commenting that calling the obstruction has made the NHL more "small guy" friendly. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 TH talking about how guys like Parise and Toews are flourishing away from the WCHA officiating, now that they're in the NHL. TH must read this board! Quote
