ONE player(Nick Anthony) on the '03 title team was recruited by Woog. Eight players(Pohl,Leoplod,Hauser,Wendell,O'Leary, Angell, Anthony, and Welch)on the '02 title team were recruited by Woog. The vast majority of the players that won those titles were brought there by Lucia. Edit: It was nine players in '02. I forgot Taffe. The cupboard wasn't empty for Lucia, but Lucia did have at least 15 recruits on the '02 team and the entire '03 team. Robbie Bina hits harder than our pylon. The only thing missing from his uniform is pink tape on his stick. He may be 6'7" and 250 lbs, but he's really nothing more than a pussy. My money is on Radke or Kaip. Please prove me wrong this weekend big Joe. We should hope its not Kaip as he already has one under his belt this year. Big Joe is playing much better as of late and I would assume that not too many folks would challenge him. He doesn't really play with much of an edge yet though - but I would hate to get him pissed off - like Jones gets - at me. He's a BIG guy and perhaps that may have something to with his demeanor. I remember what Boog Powell (a big guy himself) said years ago - "Big guys are nice, its the little guys that are mean. If big guys were as mean as little guys, there wouldn't be any little guys." Anyway, I happen to think that big Joe does have it in him to play with an attitude and I know that with his size and apparent strength - he could hold somebody off and pummel them with relative ease - if he choses to do so. Oh I agree - and I'm 6'5'' 240lbs. Bina has shown his edginess and Finley has not - but I believe it is there just waiting to be brought out under the right and provoked circumstance. I know I'm gonna be called a "Skippy" for this but when did this become about arena envy? ABSOLUTELY nothing against the Ralph but I would take Mariucci over the Ralph! The Ralph is a top-notch arena, no denying that, but it just does not seem like a college arena to me......way too fancy. Too me is loses college cred when it's an upper deck arena (just one dopes opinion though ). Serious question here, because I have been up there and have casually asked some Sioux fans and they have agreed, do any of you folks think the Ralph is a little over the top as a college arena?
