Popular Post brianvf Posted Wednesday at 07:28 PM Popular Post Posted Wednesday at 07:28 PM Swanson recovery going well from offseason shoulder surgery: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/mac-swanson-ahead-of-schedule-after-offseason-surgery Quote UND does not expect Swanson to be cleared for physical contact until September. The Fighting Hawks have preseason exhibitions on Oct. 3 (vs. Augustana) and Oct. 4 (vs. Manitoba). UND opens the regular season Oct. 9 at Bemidji State. "We think there's a high likelihood he'll be ready to play for our first game," Jackson said. Quote All 26 players on UND's roster have been in Grand Forks this summer now that goaltender Jan Špunar has arrived. Špunar spent two extra weeks in his native Czechia, because he's unable to go home in August when most of his teammates do. 2 3 Quote
brianvf Posted yesterday at 06:58 AM Posted yesterday at 06:58 AM Quote #9 Cole Reschny, C (Calgary Flames): Reschny wasn’t in the lineup yesterday but was one of Canada’s best players today. He was buzzing all over the place, hitting guys at both ends while also creating some quality chances on the attack. Reschny had an assist on the first Canadian goal and then battled the heck out of a Finnish defender to set up the third goal. His ability to be engaged everywhere as a true play driver is one of the biggest reasons why he’ll challenge for the No. 1 C spot this winter. I hope we get to see him back in the lineup on Saturday against the States. 3 Quote

I could find a reason to disagree with this statement; EJ will probably/should get top two if not top four minutes. His play last year improved vastly and will only compliment the incoming crew and returnees. 1 2 Quote

Just seems hyper driven right now. He put a Fin right on his ass during one of his faceoff wins. Already seems to be a step faster and stronger on the puck as well. 1 Quote
atxsioux Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Should add Keaton looked pretty solid as well. Looked very confident with the puck and was making plays . He had a little rust at moments but was great to see him playing with a little swagger 2 Quote

Should just be missing Keaton and C4 for the WJC from our d-corps. But I could also see Emery getting a look for the Spengler roster during that time as well. Good opportunities for mega minutes during the Clarkson series for Boser, Dumanski, Laurila, Lindberg, and MacKenzie. Quote

Is Sanderson another diamond in the rough? Seems to be dominating the competition. Quote

He’s got that presence. Reminds me of Teows, in that way. All hockey, and no bull$%!#. 1 Quote

Last year, one of the qualifications for the US College Selects roster at the Spengler Cup was no first round draft picks. So Emery would not be considered unless they change that for this year.
