cberkas Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Adam did get called out on CHNs CHIP rating for determining the Hobey race and who should be the best player. He couldn’t really defend it and proved to not be all that great. Quote

Yeah I'm viewing Lindberg & Magnussen as replacements for the departures of Klee/Littler. If both can provide more scoring punch (and PK skills) from our 3rd/4th lines, that's fantastic and would make them upgrades. If Bryn can lock up two high end CHLers with some scoring punch, our forward group looks stronger/deeper than last year. 1 Quote

People questioned Tyler Young addition, and lesser degree Josephson. You build teams with guys that are team oriented and will go to battle every game whether they get a ton of playing time or not. I would be suprised if Magnussen would come here without basically being guaranteed top 6 time given he was first line, point per game at Bemidji. If you’re right though, that’s great as it would probably mean some big CHLers are coming Quote

With who we have coming back, and any possible CHL studs, it would be foolish to guarantee anything. Just look at our roster now without being finished, who sits? Let fall camp decide who deserves to be where. Quote

Lindberg has a better resume than Young did coming in. If you are a top 3 scorer, play a ton of minutes, plus/minus leader along with filling a penalty kill role as an underclassmen on any NCHC team, that speaks volumes to me. Knowing that Chyzyk and Smaby have more knowledge since he played for them makes me that much more confident he will be a good fit. 1 1 Quote

I said earlier I felt like this was an upgrade from Littler, Klee and Andrew for a similar role (bottom 6 guy), but I hadn't thought about the fact that neither Littler or Klee kill penalties. Schloss said Lingberg was CC's top penalty killing minute eater at forward. It's so nice when you can use your bottom 6 to kill penalties and next year UND should have plenty of that with Lindberg, Croal, Zakreski (and Ollie if he's not in top 6). 100% agree and love when this is the case. I don't want Reschny and other top line/scorers eating pucks all year although I'm sure Reschny still kills next year. Quote

Looks like 2 more for both F and D. I'm hoping for no news for at least the next couple weeks. I believe that would be good news and an indication of where the remaining spots will be filled from. 1 Quote
NoDak Hockey Nation Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Hayden Paupanekis, Matthew Gard, Owen Martin, Cameron Schmidt, David Lewandowski are some 2025 drafted WHLers to know. Similar to Ollie Josephson coming in D+2 Quote

If UND gets Magnusson, then any other portal pickups after that means that a CHL player fell through IMO. 3 Quote
