Same thing with Gordon from MTU last year. Entered the portal, committed to UND, then ended up changing his mind and going back to MTU. 1 Quote
siouxfaninseattle Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago It seems that if you're not a top 6 F or top 4 D you're going somewhere else. I'm afraid the era of players staying for four years is over. 3 Quote

They could still come back if they don’t get picked up. Littler was a 4th line shutdown guy and fit the role. In a way a look at this as one and the same. Looking at everyone that has entered so far for UND seems pretty obvious these are by design. Quote
SiouxForever Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Get the best players available but next years forward lineup needs some height and muscle w/out Klee and Littler. 1 Quote
Fratt Mattin Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Brasen Boser in the portal. North Dakota native who led ASU in TOI. Wonder if we give him a look. Left handed defenseman, so not necessarily a huge position of need 1 Quote
SpudsSioux Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Hard to fault any of these and we don't know how many are suggested/being pushed out. It's hard because I really liked this group, but also with their current pipeline and their big strong freshmen class, something had to give. They need to get a little more balanced in grades and roles (they are young with a lot of bottom 6 type guys. I would look for things to start getting more stable in the next couple years 3 Quote

beastandco Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago It’s worth noting that none of UND’s portal loses so far were Bryn’s recruits besides Engel. He likely wants to bring in his guys. Engel was likely brought in knowing that he will be cut. UND was able to go over the roster limit because Young was a DSA. 1 Quote
