I don't buy the narrative that special teams is bad under Kostich.  According to his bio, his coaching career spanned 2 head coaches at Minnesota (Brewster and Kill), and now his UND career has spanned 2 head coaches.  Are you telling me that 4 head coaches have just been letting him skate by?  Even when a new coach (Kill or Schmidt) could have let him go and brought in anyone as part of a new coaching staff, they both decided to keep him.

Do we blame the OC when a QB misses a open WF?  No, we put the blame on the QB, and credit to OC for calling a play getting the WR open.  Why are you blaming the SC for a missed XPT or FG.  If it is blocked than the SC needs to take a chuck of the blame.

If you want to blame him for the blocked punts or the poor coverage on the kick off after the safety i can hear that, but it doesn't seem to be a reacquiring problem.

yes...it's been bad...not sure why eric kept him...

might cost him the playoffs this year.

been hiding our place kicker since reid left....and he wasn't all that great either tho

There was nothing wrong with the hold. Our kickers are awful and it keeps costing us

I didn’t see it. We are at opposite end.  
 

i did help with the second kick.  I went and leaned on the end wall when he kicked.  My mom did that for me when I played and claimed it helped. Conjured up some good vibes.  I will continue to do my part in the future as long as it works.

There's over a dozen ladies on the soccer team that could have made the chip shot FG............using their off foot no less.

Hey we aren't the only D1 UND with kicking issues the boys in South Bend have serious issues as well.

Talking different things.  I don't know that anybody has said our place kickers have been good.  I, and others, have said that isn't a reflection on the ST coach.  ST coaches are responsible for schemes, not kicking a ball.  If you wan't to blame him for the reverse that was flagged, that makes more sense. 

The OC is rightfully catching flak for play calling decisions, not that Jerry has been throwing inaccurately lately.  It's the same thing to me.  He isn't responsible for Jerry having a couple off games.
