Notice that Max Plante - plants himself sometimes in neutral zone when they are defending.  That is going to be used against Plante’s team, to gain an advantage for the attacking team by  structuring their attack knowing Plante is inching out early.  That allows one of the fast transitions now for UMD but teams will adapt.

In my opinion, any time a player lays on the puck on the ice, anywhere on the ice, it should be delay of game if they aren’t giving effort to get up.
