never said anything negative about Simon personally....

the answer is talent......he's just not that talented and I don't care how much the heraldo says otherwise.

I remember getting DM"s when I was pointing out the same thing about Rooney and Aplin a few years ago.....great guys ...great students....everything the heraldo loves.....but not game changers...average at best....unlike the ndac where they had maulers down there....and I could care less if vollson or mauch's dad's were in jail for robbery or their mom's sucked dick under a bridge for cigarettes.....they were mauling guys to the tune of multiple natty's and were losing to Nichols juco....

not bashing....just pointing out that he isn't a upper fcs level talent.....could start maybe at UNC or Dixie or somewhere else....but und has higher expectations and Simon isn't getting us there...last year or this year 

can you imagine where Jerry would be right now if had started a few games at the end of last year.....or heck even two years ago.

Right. But none of that is relevant anymore since he's no longer the starter. It's coming off as petty, and it honestly seems personal. My advice? Move on and quit worrying about the 3rd string QB.

Lack of a great QB killed the program the most. A great qb can make bad teams average and average great, its been the missing piece and we may have found it. I say do whatever it takes to get Jerry to stay.

Yes yes we know Bubba sucked on the road. No argument there. It will always be his great unknown. He might have had the biggest points spread difference known to man - home vs away in FCS Football....but on average it equates to a three point swing.

There’s a clear difference between the two teams. THE DEFENSE, and THE QUARTERBACK.

Edit: oh I get it now. Some are interpreting it as putting down this years team.... No, Im actually sticking up for last years team saying it wasn't as bad as some seem to believe.

Late season losses imo was because of a deflated "we missed the playoffs season" after a devastating OT loss. Despite showing very early signs of being a good football team...Just like individual games...4th quarters when losing teams naturally "give up" and finally score isnt always indicative. I know its cool to rag on teams and coaches when they're fired though. I get it.

Maybe I need to learn some things are just too nuanced for message board discussions! 😂

I have always said last years team was four points away from the playoffs. Our defense fell apart in the last five games. But the cupboard was far from bare coming into this year.
