One thing I hate about the Conn Smythe voting is it’s not about the whole playoffs, just the Finals.

I don’t think Staal should have won it, Freddy, Blake, Stankoven should have won it over Staal.

The Connie is based on a player's performance during the entire NHL postseason, not just the finals. Thats why McDavid won it a couple years ago.

I know that and Blake's line, the "junkyard dogs" carried the Canes. Staal won because of his 5 goals in 5 games in the Finals. The votes were cast in the 3rd and Blake should have been higher than 2 votes

Fun Crazy Fact: Taylor Hall is the Oilers only 1st overall pick to win the Stanley Cup.

Even crazier is the Oilers have had ONLY 4 1st overall picks ever.

Been an NHL head coach for about 2 years, been mainly a NHL assistant coach

Babcock investigation is over and he can be hired by the Oilers. Waiting for Seravalli's report of the accusations he was saying caused Babcok to resign. 

What Babcock did, that is known, isn't close to Quenneville's lack of doing anything and he shouldn't be in the NHL.

I get that people don’t like the Tkachuk brothers, but I hardly think they are cancers.  Florida seemed to do quite well with Matthew.  I do question that Brady is worth 3 first round picks and a second though.
