Their brother Landon Ruck is playing U15 as a 13 year old and doing well. Ryan Lin and Mathis Preston are at the same points and high ranked 2008's Keaton Verhoeff big (6'4") offensive defensemen Are you really looking at 2010's : ) So the reason those guys play up is that the competition is so diluted after 15...the good players are playing junior in Canada at 16. yzerman19 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 I've never seen Schultz. I can tell you Liam Pue, Holowaychuk, and Nicol are excellent players with bright futures...maybe even all the way. Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 2010's that i've seen- those 3 above (Pue, Holowaychuk, and Nicol), LaSouro, Daley, Thompson, Cullen, Colmer, Meier, Lynn, Charbonneau, Carver, Hair, Schulberger...year away, but those kids can all play. Morris, Evans, Christini, Filiaggi, Spang, Warner, Kelly, Trupiano also high end players in the 2010 year. Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 The big question is will the good ol boys be able to get the NIL money to land those kinda chippas?? Quote

The Rucks I could see on the same line where Landon Pue is a skilled 2nd line player or could have Liam and Landon Pue on the same line. Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 with the younger guys you always have to contemplate if they have a size advantage today and what the genetics are. A 6 foot 190 lb 14 year old will dominate bantam...will they be Eric Lindros or are they going to limit out when everybody is that size. I don't know about the brother gets...of them I only know Liam Pue. He is a tall and skilled winger who has a knack for the net. I think he's legit an NHL prospect at this point. Quote
cberkas Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Looks like they are playing on the same team and have the same numbers, but Liam is the better of the two Quote

He's also a nice kid. Good family. If Berry lands him its a huge get Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 As i said, I've never seen Schultz, but Pue is an elite goal scorer. Thompson and Nicol are smart, complete 200 foot centers who produce a ton of points. Charbonneau is a beast and is an absolute offensive force. LaSouro is dynamic and shifty and is just a stud athlete. Daley operates almost like a 2nd center in the ozone as a Dman, but he never gets burned...always gets back. Here's the thing with the chippas....you land one, the others pay attention 2 Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 2009 class which they get to talk to next week, regional boys- Freddie Schneider, Nolan Fitzhenry, Easton Johnson are all absolute studs Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 the 2010 Little Caesars team coached by Ryan Kesler wins everything. There's something to be said for winning. You want players that hate losing and know how to win. Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Having a team of 23 year old undrafted grinders with 1 or 2 guys on the NHL board is not a recipe for success...that's the Mankato State model. We need to have a team of chippas in order to get chippas 1 2 Quote

Some solid Little Caesars played in the 16 age tournament (forgot what it was called) I believe in Fargo last year. I’d be shocked if UND coaches aren’t aware of some kids currently on the Little Caesars team. Also, Ryan Kesler is a prick off ice too That is all. Quote

I like to wait until 16 to see if they can play when everyone’s mature. But this kid is pretty dang good. Quote

SiouxFan100 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Does UND have the financial backing to compete if things get out of hand like football? For all I know, maybe hockey is already crazy with big money buying college hockey players? College basketball and wrestling teams are being bought at the highest level. What’s going on with college hockey? Quote
ChetSteadman Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 Watched some stud 2012’s this past weekend. Wonder if any of the coaches were in attendance?😂 1 Quote

What’s going on with college hockey? Basketball, sure, but I'm surprised to hear that is true of wrestling. Media outlets aren't clamoring to broadcast matches to national or even regional audiences in very many places, are they? Same with hockey, thank Parise. They can't even fill a smallish rink for "Sweet 16." Quote

What’s going on with college hockey? I don't think there will be any issues with the power brokers finding NIL $ for hockey at UND. Word on the street is that so far its been few and far between for life altering money for college hockey (unlike football and hoops) Quote

What’s going on with college hockey? Most college football players are getting more money in NIL deals than professional hockey players, so I don't believe it's going to affect hockey that much. Hockey has never drawn the amount of money that basketball or football has, and it isn't going to change. Also, hockey players are built differently than basketball or football players. If you ask any hockey player what their goal is, I'm willing to bet that majority of them will say "I want my name on the Stanley Cup". Your shoe in NHL'ers will stay wherever they are at for 1 to 2 years. The fringe NHL'ers that need a little longer developing are going to stay because transferring is only going to delay their development. The ones that you might need to worry about are your late bloomers that are frustrated with not getting playing time and are unhappy i.e. Adam Tambellini. Quote
yzerman19 Posted December 31, 2024 Posted December 31, 2024 In the 2009 class I think its the 3 kids I mentioned: Schneider, Fitzhenry, and Johnson. These conversations start tomorrow. Lot of Gopher written on these guys, can Berry land one? Quote
