Ultimately, UND needs to focus on UND. Strategy is key here. 

fargo and ndac have forever been jealous of our true d1 titles...no matter how many 1aa titles they got they were always jealous of ours measuring up to minnesotas and bc and bu's and michigan and msu and other blue bloods....

what und has done recently with our facilites and alsonts and whatnot....ndac knew we were coming ....they would've paid 20 million to get this spot

I hoped for failure for them in 2004.  Didn't happen.  I can hope again but also need to see better (and sooner) action from UND.  I believed then and still believe now that NDSU is trying to run away from UND, knowing they had caught up.  For shame.  Should do what's right for the state, not themselves.

A simple history lesson confirms the statement I made, which you quoted.

Pretty well known NDSU has done everything possible in the past to avoid playing UND in football. This is another move to assist in that.

Personal criticism is apparently all that you can contribute.

I dislike the Bison as much as anyone but this idea is beyond bizarre.    So, using your rationale the Big Sky Conference should have kicked us out when we formed the NCHC in 2011?   It certainly has parallels.  I'd like to see UND try and pull ourselves up and get in position to move up if it turns out FBS is the way to go and if it isn't, let NDSU fail.   No need for this petty stuff that isn't going to happen.  Remember it was this same backwards attitude that kept us in D2 when it should have been apparent to everyone that going to 1 AA was the right move.

No way does the Summit kick anyone out.   And for the record, I still think we should have stayed in the BSC and then we wouldn't have to worry about the Summit collapsing.

Time will tell with how willing they are to schedule the nearest division I university in football (FCS vs FBS, should be a cake walk for NDSU, right?) … I think anyone being honest with themselves already knows the answer to that question.

Why would the city of Fargo, who's citizens have already made it clear a couple times at the ballot box the dint support the idea, pay for a new venue when they have one that currently suits their needs?

What the HELL has happened to our fan base? There was a time when cheering on NDSU-CKS was unthinkable within our fan base. Now we have UND fans using the "good for the whole state" excuse to cheer them on in the playoffs or the whole front running "I want to be a part of it" bull$h!t. They don't deserve our support and they'll get ZERO support from me.

But if you are so excited about this, go get NDSU season tickets and enjoy sitting in the FFD on Saturdays. I for one hope they fall flat on their faces.

The funniest outcome is unlv leaves the mountain west and it becomes an even worse conference. Which is not out of the realm of possibilities.  Mountain west is barely holding on the way it is.
