The officials at the FCS level are awful, including the replays. They just gave USD a touchdown when he was down by contact. Unbelievable.

It's inevitable week in and week out that you'll see a call(s) or a review that just makes you spill your coffee.

Its about as inconsistent as a little league strike zone.  

If I'm a MVFC or any team for that matter I wouldn't play a non conference game at a Big Sky school with those bufoons with whistles.

Depending on the recruits next year ….und isn’t close on the offensive side.   Watching all the teams  in the qtrs it’s beyond obvious und doesn’t have the talent to take the next step offensively. Again… that’s dependent on what the recruiting class brings in.   Believe Schmidt can bring in some talent but it needs to be a total and complete overhaul offensively…including OC …for und to be considered a championship contender.  Und witnessed what they are capable offensively the last 6 weeks of the year against competent teams.

If they hit on a Clive Georges like player that will go a long way.

The guys coming in from HS are legit. Need 3 portal WRs and a portal rb imo. That and throw to the TE more.

WRs are a must!   Und has been stacked against heavy in the box for far too many years.

Agree, but not sure a complete overhaul is needed. There is or was some talent (SS), maybe not enough. But more wr speed, utilizing the TEs, some QB accuracy along with a legitimate OC would certainly help. OL?

Which NFL team did Clive Georges play on? Let’s stop acting like our recruiting 10 years ago was the standard. We need to recruit and develop offensive skill position student-athletes that we’ve never had before in Grand Forks. It can be done, but needs to be a new standard. Need to recruit kids that are NFL-caliber at offensive skill positions  … and can’t have just one. Injury bug hurt Clive Georges… ideally need 2-3 playmakers of that caliber so defense can’t take just one away

When watching the 8 remaining teams today and Friday night ….I tried my best as to what und starter could start over another player at the same position.  Jerry wouldn’t  start on any of the 8 remaining teams.  Can’t see Sawyer starting for anyone other than maybe Davis?   Doubt it tho.   WRs nope!  Not even close.  TEs  no clue as I’m not sure und has any .  OL …possibly a couple?  Of course the OC is just a complete mess.   

 That’s a complete overhaul to compete for gold

Throw in a top tier QB too… although I think we’re more likely to get better at QB via HS quarterbacks and development then what we could get from the overpriced transfer portal at QB

Calm down a bit haha, I think you’re putting words into my mouth here. Obviously we don’t want to recruit like 10 years ago. Clive is an anomaly in the Bubba era, where I feel they went and got a transfer that was a playmaker. Due to injuries, it didn’t work out as good as it should have.

It will be more common place to get the right guys in the new era of UND football. Agreed that at least 2 WR’s that are game changers need to be brought in. The coaches realize that.

Not on you, just a pet peeve of mine with the whole fascination over Clives Georges. But we all agree, whether amateurs on here or the actual coaches doing the work, need more playmakers on offense that can make guys miss and get more yardage than what is designed. We get that going, and then the offense will naturally take off.

You also have to remember Paul Rudolph was our OC at that time as well. Not a system a WR would necessarily like to play in.

Cmon man. Clive is a legend. Speed and hands and a gpa that could be used to cool a quantum computer 😂 I’d take him on any team. Get two guys like him and we would be impossible to defend.
