Tom Miller on this morning with Tim and Paul...."The fighting at practice has gotten out of hand and the coaches need to reel it in fast" but I guess it's just conspiracy BS

Definitely taken out of context.

Did he specifically mention injured players due to the “fighting”? I didn’t think so …

Per another post Tom Miller confirmed the fighting has gotten out of hand.
You are right - plenty of injuries in football. It’s stupid to create more by fighting your teammates.
My experience is that the fighting initiates from a guy that’s getting his arse kicked so has to find another way to show how tough he is.  Stupid.  Be a better fb player and don’t need to fight your teammates.

That is Miller’s opinion, but it is also taken out of context. This concept that UND is accumulating “plenty of injuries” at practice due to fighting is unjustified garbage, but you can interpret the Miller posts however you want.

No one said that plenty of injuries are happening, but someone said at least one has and it was to a key player. Anything above 0 on something dumb like that is too much.

How can Miller's comment that there is too much fighting going on be taken out of context? He's been doing this for 20+ years, I think he has a good pulse on what is normal and what is starting to get out of hand.

100% this. Any injury above 0 from figjting is too much.  The coaches aren’t dumb and will shut it down soon if they haven’t already.

The word “plenty” has been used and there has been plenty of hyperbole with this whole injury thing. Some people are too bored for their own good. Things are going fine. Better than fine, actually. Camp fights are as per usual for decades, with exception of no more overly friendly teams that couldn’t win on the road. If that means “more” fights, so be it. Gotta toughen up.

With that said, there’s a line you don’t cross.

This is not validated and is a perfect example of conspiracy b.s. that now everyone will latch on to as fact (as evidenced by the string of comments on here).

Nice guys don’t usually finish first; things are going just fine. Injuries are a part of the game unfortunately. The nice guy mentality that Bubba formerly ran practice with was not getting it done… trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is….

With all that said, there is a line you don’t cross. You can’t have all out brawls within your team.

In summary, everyone step away from the ledge. Things are going fine. Better than fine, actually.

Not a conspiracy. Not good. Love that there’s a fire at fall camp, we need more nastiness but the line got crossed. It’s up to coach to find the balance which will bring success.

There’s a fire, there’s more nastiness, line didn’t get crossed “too much”. It is all good.

No conspiracy but not a single name dropped? It’s more b.s. than legitimacy…

totally agree.  Eric wants to see who is aggressive but controlled. Looking for edge and stupid penalties.
