Mats Lindgren (2004) officially on the Colorado College roster after a year in the Coast and a cup of coffee in the A.

I really don't understand the NC$$ allowing pro players to play college sports. So what is the end result? "You played a few games in the AHL? OK." "You played a few years in the ECHL? OK" Next? NHL players that only played a few games? Pro players and NIL totally out of control. Sad state of "amateur" sports.

One last shift is going to turn into one last year. Parise-Toews-Oshie line next year so they can all coordinate their eligibility?

This isn't all bad.

We could bring back the CBS line. :p

The NCAA set the precedent when they started allowing European (semi) Pro basketball players to play NCAA Basketball. All of this in hockey and other sports as a result doesn't surprise me

Obviously, we may be biased on Motzko but even Scott Wheeler called out Motzko for poor coaching.

  • Had Kvasnicka invited to prelim camp when we all knew he was likely to be cut
    • Hindsight is nice but taking a look at a center based on their lack at that position wouldve made alot more sense
  • Him and Greg Brown don't seem to be getting through to this group at all on how they need to play to win. When they've been at their best they've kept it simple and played North. (they cant lie to themselves and try to be a skilled team in this year's case)
  • I'm not sure the actual minutes but it seems like one of their best lines (Spellacy, Zellers, McMorrow) isn't getting nearly enough time on ice.
  • I think he needs to cut it out and at least play EJ on the 2nd pairing. EJ can't do any worse than Logan Hensler at the moment.
  • I will give Bob a break on that fact that he has had some brutal performances from alot of the better players (Hagens and Eiserman come to mind right away). Granted though I don't think Bob has helped spark them at all either.

I'll be shocked if Bob is behind the bench for another WJC. We just have way too many good coaches to offer currently to go back to him (Carle, Pecknold, Pandolfo, Hastings, etc). Could definitely see Smaby as an assistant as well on some future teams.

Most Motzko critics/skeptics have alluded to the possibility that him getting the World Junior coach nod was a retirement going away gift from USA Hockey since the tournament was being hosted in Minneapolis/St Paul. Don't think he'll be coaching the Gophers much longer either
