Yikes is right!  Another wretched performance.  Of 363 teams, UND is rated #318 while W Kentucky is only rated #315 but they are light years better, winning UND 80-60 over UND. UND can’t shoot (today ( of 25 on treys) , commit tons of turnovers (26 today!), lack size/length, athleticism, etc. They do not have mid-major D-1 caliber athletes.

No D1 talent on the roster and little D1 experience on the coaching staff has been the recipe for disaster.

Made just 5 of 25 treys.

This team is under sized and young. The recruits they recruited this past year are we’re DI projects most of them were coming with 3 to 4 years eligibility. The seniors they retained from last year team Demers is DI player but under sized and Aumer can play roll on DI team but not major role. VanderWahl has size just not quick enough to play in Hutter offense. Hughes has quickness and intelligence to play DI but needs to have some dominant 4 and 5 to playoff. DI talent on this team I believe right now is Volmer, Harris Hillesheim, Ohnstad, and Miller but all these players are freshman to Sophomores with very limited  playing time. Other players could develop into roll players are Piekney and fletcher rest have no idea of their ability but can’t have that many roll players. We have no player that we have now we could go to get points when we’re not developing offense. We may have some players in freshmen group but we’re at least year or two from they getting to that kind of level. Now we need future recruits that develop immediately in next year or two but it’s going to take some recruiting to bring in some top players. This is going to be project we started this year with cupboard pretty empty and what we recruited was going to take time to develop them into talent. Like I said it’s going to be long year and at end of year some players on roster may not have roll here in future at this level could be some difficult decisions coming for Hutter.

Yep. It sure shows. In comparison, our peers are ranked as follows:  S Dak St 47 - NDSU 49 - Mont St 84 - S Dak 95 - Mont 263 -  UND 318

With all this D1 talent in training. I should probably bet the farm that will sweep Dickinson State, Bismarck, State College, and Mayville State, correct?

Im just glad none of those teams are D2 because I dont know that we would be favored.  NAIA and. Juco moving to NAIA.

They're more dedicated than I am. I find it hard to even stream from the comfort of my home, I find myself questioning more and more if I want to give up the time to even watch this mess.

I counted the fans at the game twice and never got over 300 fans.  What is the benefit of lying about the attendance?  I won't make the next game but take notice.  I can't imagine anyone wanting to pay to watch a 1-10 NAIA team vs 1-10 D1 team. Who knows maybe Mayville will travel well.

If it weren’t for Hughes and Demers, there would be nobody at the games. Crowd could be decent today considering Hughes and Hutter connection to Mayville State.

Kind of poetic, that the senior leader that didn’t start the first five games of the year, Mikayla Aumer connects on five three-pointers in a row! In the third quarter @UNDwbasketball now lead! By 45 - 68 to 23 over Mayville State!  🏀👏❤️ after 3 quarters! I know it’s Mayville, but it’s still quite an accomplishment!

Its hard to get excited over this game when Mayville looks like 8th graders out there and they have lost by 40 points to most NAIA schools.  I am actually embarrassed we are playing teams like this and pumping our fists.   But I get the poetic justice for Aumer, never understood why she wasnt starting all year.  I hope this game gives her some confidence.

Yes, and to your point. We played everybody and all of our D1 future projects were only able to score 11 points in the fourth quarter.
