Another high school? I'm not necessarily disagreeing with the idea, but do you think the voters will approve a tax increase to build and maintain it? The anti-tax crowd will howl in protest as usual.

That's why it should be a 5-10 year plan.

There's going to be more people in support of that, over time, than the absurd boundary redrawings they keep releasing.

There is no open enrollment.

80 (or so) applications for in-district transfer from RRHS attendance boundary to GFC boundary were approved for this season.

40 (or so) such applications from GFC to RRHS were approved.

They are working on new boundary lines but that is probably years down the road and stop open enrollment then.

It is ridiculous that they haven't changed the boundaries in Grand Forks. Just keep kicking the can down the road.

Because the school board is gutless.  Just need to draw the new boundary lines and let it be.  This public input is ridiculous.  They were elected for the position and should do what they were elected for.

Can still allow applications to move schools, and approve as needed.

Not ND HS hockey but just read Schloss’ article about EGF beating Warroad to go to state. Question: If Warroad was one of the state’s top seeds to lose, why were they playing on the road at East Grand Forks? Shouldn’t they’ve been playing at Warroad?

The school board isn't drawing the lines, consultants are. And they are doing a terrible job.

Section sites are predetermined.  Rotates between East Grand, Warroad, and TRF.

Or maybe I misread it? Maybe the game was played at Warroad?

Admittedly don't watch a lot of ND HS hockey until EDC and state but if either GF school played Moorhead (have watched them a few times) would they even keep it respectable? My limited hockey mind says no.

Running time for sure

Ah, gotcha. Having been living in Colorado for the last 30 years I’m clearly out of the loop. Thanks! Very cool watching the highlights of the Green Wave’s big win!

Grayden Peterson on West Fargo should be on people’s radar, he’s an 09 (same birth year as Marto). Very good skater and has size. Been very impressed by his game.

He came to shoot on a goaltender that I was doing a private lesson with a few years back with some other kids.  My goodness, there is talent there.  Hearing Sioux Falls next year.

Not sure how he isn’t playing across the river.

So the school board is having consultants do it.  No matter what they will not make everyone happy.  Stand by what I said school board needs to figure it out that is what they are elected to do.  Make the tough decision and stand by it.

Mattern has tied Peluso for points in the state.  Next one is the century mark.

I believe he came up one short. Minot takes third 5-3

Any idea why Mattern got an unsportsmanlike penalty at the final buzzer?

Guessing he had something to say as per the usual with him.

The school board is the final decision maker. Consultants consult, boards decide.
