So Minny knocks out one of Dallas’ players but the Stars can’t retaliate?

Dumba’s hit was a clean shoulder to shoulder hit. Man on man. What Suter does is being a wimp. Crosscheck the Wilds superstar in the back not once but twice and then get challenged and basically goes in the fetal position. He will get his either tonight or in Minny Friday

Dumba’s hit seemed late and resulted in Pavelski getting knocked out.  After that, the whole game seemed to get much chippier.  I’m not defending what Suter did but it felt like both teams decided to turn up the physicality another notch after the Dumba hit.

Suter may have to pay for his actions but he will likely just turtle as he’s done before.

Dumba is one of my least liked players on the Wild but his hit on Pavelski was clean.  Shoulder on shoulder, finishing his check.  Will also note he didn't run him as Dumba was skating backwards and had two skates firmly planted on the ice.  Maybe Joe should get his head up and realize this is the NHL playoffs and not open skate.

What I see from the crying about this hit is the clashing of old hockey fans that like the tough, physical style of play and the new hockey fans who are fans of soccer on ice that enjoy the skill, speed, and dazzle but don't dare touch little Johnny.  It's like freaking hockey mom's screaming when a perfectly legal check happens because it made too much noise.  Call something ref, the game is getting out of control!  STFU.

The difference between Dumba and Suter is Dumba's hit was part of the flow of the game.  Pavelski had the puck and had just moved it and got finished.  Kaprizov did not have the puck and Suter was just pounding on him outside of the play.  You could say Kirill was fair game because he was in front of the net, ok, I'll listen to that argument.

Reaves or Foligno will take care of Suter.

So what Dallas should do is to wait a second after Kaprisov gets rid of the puck and absolutely blow him up like Dumba did to Pavelski, and Foligno did to Robertson.   Better chance at injury if they do that, so maybe they should change their philosophy instead of reacting to their stars being targeted.
