Wilbur Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 So if Bruce Ciskie () is right.... Likely match-ups: Miami at Denver CC at Western UMD at SCSU UND at UNO Quote

I believe UND has 30 points. The NCHC site is currently incorrect. Quote
brianvf Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 It appears now is the time to play SCSU if we have to: Quote
Oxbow6 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 This will be just the 2nd time in 24 years UND doesn't host a conference quarterfinals series. Let that soak in. Quote
90siouxfan Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 It seems the NCHC lags the other conferences to get the season done, and also the conference tournament... doesn't that favor the other conferences with a week of rest before NCAA regionals? Quote

No conference has a week of rest. The NCHC gave all their teams a week off in February, and I think the coaches are happiest to play every week down the stretch. Also , the NCHC has a single elimination final four, whereas other conferences are a mix of best two of three, and some single elimination on campus with that extra travel. So NCHC has a shorter playoff season. PS it’s way better than the grueling grind that the WCHA schedule had. (Best two of three plus another game the next Thursday Friday Saturday.). That wrecked a lot of good WCHA teams’ chances in the NCAA. Quote
cberkas Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Only Hockey East and NCHC didn't start their conference playoffs this week. Quote
