bigmrg74 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Nice drive, but would have been better to get a TD, eh, just got to have more than them at the end of the game. Defence needs to get another big stop here and the Sioux offense needs to give them some rest. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Anybody else getting a lot of static on the radio? Quote
U2Bad1 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Losing reception on The internet radio here. Quote
Cratter Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 In the playoffs the Sioux offense seems to score early on and then forget to do it later. Quote
bigmrg74 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Anybody else getting a lot of static on the radio? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah, same here in MI Quote
Smoggy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 So PSU has used 2 time outs. The problem is that they've had two nice yardage plays after each. Geez, and now Philpot just has a big run. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 39 yard run for Philpot. They are on the Sioux 9 yard line. Sioux stuff the first down for a five yard loss, but the penalty is offsides Sioux. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Uggg... five yard loss and UND defense gets called for offsides. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 uggg. things are getting ugly on defense. touchdown pitt. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Another TD for PSU. 13-10 at the moment. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Bigg plays and untimely penalties for UND are KILLINg the sioux. Quote
Sioux,CO Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 How does a 6'4" 250lb QB run for a 39 yrd gain. The D needs to wake up and quit getting stupid penalties. They're killing us out there. They run the option for F sakes. Quote

dakotadan Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Nice drive ruinned by a fumble. Pitt ball. Quote
mksioux Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 ...could see that fuble coming for three seconds before it happened with the way Bellmore was holding the ball while running. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 What the *** was he thinking. Get rid of the ball!!! Quote
jimdahl Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 After that big 3rd down conversion to Caleb Johnson, UND and Pitt St seem about even on big offensive plays. UND needs to start winning the battle of special teams/TOs to have a prayer. Philpot is out, Majors is in. Quote
bigmrg74 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Majors is in, Pitt might be trying to throw it a little more deep. Maybe you got them rattle. Quote
Cratter Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 The longer this game is close the better for the Sioux. Quote
jimdahl Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 The longer this game is close the better for the Sioux. Yep, Sioux D held again, forcing another punt. I'm quite happy with 10-14 at this point. Pitt St is getting yds as we knew they would, but the Sioux D has been bending not breaking. The Sioux D has been containing the pass pretty well, so when they can force the pass its been going well. The Sioux O has been doing a fine job of getting some time of possession and moving the ball. To my surprise, the Sioux O seemed to have had more big plays in the 1st half than Pitt St. O, but we didn't win the crucial TO/special teams battle. Play the same game but have some of the little things go UND's way in the 2nd half and it's possible to win. Quote
SiouxperDave Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 I like the pace of the game. If UND can cut down the number of dumb penalties and Belmore holds onto the ball, they'll be in good shape. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 The Sioux O should be very pleased. Keep it up. It's amazed me how easily we've been throwing the ball. BUT... Why wouldn't you go for some point before the end of the half? The D needs to toughen up. I'm dissappointed in them. Yes, they are holding PSU out fo the endzone and have stopped them a few times, but I don't think PSU should have gotten either TD so easily. It just sounds like we are making some mistakes. Second Half Thoughts: I expect our D to toughen up. But I do expect PSU to hit some big plays still. We will get a turnover or two in the second half. Hopefully our O can protect the ball better. PSU has to be frustrated. They haven't had a close game at the half like this. It should interesting to see how they respond. If I were them, I'd just keep running the ball. Quote

So far Pitt has not turned the ball over. If UND can score on their first drive and force Pitt to make some turnovers they can leave pittsburg kansas with a round trip ticket to florence alabama next weekend. Off topic: I can barely hear the interent radio broadcast. How disappointing. Quote
