I think Mankato is going to find things a little tougher in the WCHA this year. They may still win the league but doubt they’ll run away with it like usual.

Mbereko gave up a nearly 200 foot short handed goal but can’t say I entirely blame him. Those long range wrist shots sometimes have a lot of velocity and when they start skipping as they approach the goal, it’s probably difficult for a goalie to judge which direction they’re going to go.

They can be like the short hop after the ball bounces high off the plate for infielders.
