The Sicatoka Posted June 2, 2004 Posted June 2, 2004 That is really bull. I don't want to have to walk more than 20 feet to the wellness center. Who wants to exercise any more than they have to. That's right CRR. Valet parking and a moving sidewalk should be put in place immediately. Quote

U2Bad1 Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 I graduated in 2003, and weren't we already paying for the wellness center we weren't even going to be able to use? I think you should be able to have one free year at the wellness center for every year of student fees that went to the construction of that building. Quote

I think you should be able to have one free year at the wellness center for every year of student fees that went to the construction of that building. You did have free access to the interim wellness center while you were still a student, and it is much nicer than the old work-out facilities in Hyslop. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted June 7, 2004 Posted June 7, 2004 The only thing good about 24 hour fitness is that it is open 24 hours. Quote
dakotadan Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I know I am pulling up an old thread but construction on the new wellness center is going fairly quickly. They have a link here where you can check out construction pictures. They have not been updated too recently as a majority of the framework is done and they have started on the walls. I enjoy following construction of new buildings and thought maybe some of you that are from out of town would enjoy checking out how things are coming. Hopefully they will update the photos soon so everyone can see how far along it is coming. Plans and Construction Pix Quote
ESPNInsider Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Yeah, I just emailed them and asked them to update the pics and possibly get one from a bit further away so we can see it from a different perspective rather then just very close. Thanks though. Quote
star2city Posted April 3, 2005 Author Posted April 3, 2005 Kind of an interesting article on the cultural changes on campuses with new Wellness Centers Quote
jimdahl Posted April 27, 2005 Posted April 27, 2005 Wellness Center well on its way (Grand Forks Herald) I don't recall if this has been posted before: Promotional video (big! and a tad self-important, but it is a promotional video) Quote

Is that a misprint? That would be 10 stories. This seems really imposing relative to the other buildings in grand forks. Quote
Fedorov Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Still no mention of a shuttle to take you from your car to the enterance. Quote

dakotadan Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 New UND Wellness Center to hold Grand Opening September 25, 3-6pm. Should be cool to see the finished product. It looks very impressive from the outside! A cool virtual tour of the Center. Quote

HockeyMom Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Anyone go to the new Wellness Center Grand Opening today? Any opinions or details of the place? I did. It's flipping sweet. The students are lucky to have an incredible facility like that, I wish it had been on campus when I was around. Quote
spfreak Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 That place is amazing. I was very impressed. They have a ton of weight machines and cardio machines. They even have a massage therapist and even the general public can get massages from her. Quote
