Really? A playoff game at the Alerus Center for Winona State? That's a new one. Looking forward to game, even though I don't like how I think it'll turn out. I like what I've seen out of Winona State this year, I do believe it's a stronger team than last year's squad.

No reason for those teams to do it. Teams from the NSIC aren't at those fully funded levels yet, so why should they join in to the NCC? The left overs from the NCC will play by the NSIC rules or find somewhere else to play.

In the NSIC, we've the old but good: We licked the Beavers, we want Moorhead!

You guys maybe clicking, I'm still pissed at the performance of WSU. 35-0 is not acceptable in any circumstance. Sigh. I was there when WSU took you guys to the wire in 2003. It seems like forever ago.

Sigh. Sorry we couldn't give you guys a decent game for the second straight year. Sigh.

My point behind wanting an on-campus stadium for the Gophers is so that the team is more likely to stick around. If they push the team off to the Midway Stadium in St. Paul, then they're very, very close to just dumping the team all together. Yes, outdoor baseball doesn't work in the NCAA season in the upper midwest. But I'd rather not see a team abandoned because Joel Maturi wanted to please the title XI crowd.

Big Ten champs 2002, 2003, 2004. Yea, that's a crappy team that should be dumped. They, along with the football team need to get their own on-campus stadiums. But I digress.

Just gonna pop in and say I'd love to see UND get a lacrosse team. I used to live in Columbus Ohio, where my local high school had a team. I really started to love the sport there. Since I moved up to Minnesota, I was stuck with out a team until the Swarm came to the cities. This season the average attendance will finish at about 8k a game. There are a few reasons to this: 1) The Wild came back so people with nothing better to do with their sports dollars went back to the Wild. 2) Dates became harder. In indoor lacrosse, the average fan is in their 20's, much younger than the average age of an NHL fan (or at least game-attender). I don't have the exact stats, but I believe it's higher for outdoor lacrosse. There is definitely a cross over between lacrosse and hockey fan bases, but it's not exact. But it's close enough to be significant. Adding lacrosse would give spring dates to the Alerus. And has it has been mentioned, being close to Canada could be big for the team. Speaking purely as a fan of the sport, I hope you add lacrosse.

As a Winona State fan, I just felt a little better. After last year's game, I was fearing UND having a week off before they faced the Warriors. Best of luck on every game that isn't against Winona State.

They very well may not be, but from their post, I can at the very least draw from it that they are a fan of an NCC school. My statement still stands, the UND fans I met down here in Winona, as well as the large majority I've met online are still polite. Better than they were a few years ago (in my eyes, opinion does differ on that)

Mature. Very. It's people like you that make me loathe the NCC. The majority of UND fans I met were very poilte. You on the other hand make me want to puke.
