Dustin Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Curious about the TV broadcast- is it Paul Raulston play by play? I'm sitting up by the media booth, and hear no voices, but I know it's also on the radio, and radio announcers sit at the scoring bench. Quote

UNDBIZ Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 He's doing a good job, imo. As someone who misses/doesn't know all the ref signals, it's nice to have a more descriptive broadcast. Quote
Dustin Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 They finish 'em off in three with a tighter Set 3, winning 25-21. Some scrappy play led to points that they didn't necessarily deserve Quote

Dustin Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Took a look at the Big Sky standings this morning, and wondered what happened to Idaho State?! 0-3 in conference, 3-13 overall. Then I looked at their schedule, and last night was only the second game of the season that they've played at home. They've also played schools from the ACC, Big Ten, Pac-12, and Mountain West. Plus, their first three conference games were against PSU, SAC, and NAU, some of the better Big Sky teams. What a way to start the season! Quote

I won't miss them next year, they were a thorn many times in UND's side in multiple sports (minus Men's basketball) Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 Inched up to #42 now on Massey, just a shoeprint behind Louisville. Portland St dropped to #51. The games next week may be effectively for all the marbles at Portland St and Sac St. Sac St is just a touch above Ole Miss. Those two could be trouble especially in away games. All the other Big Sky teams are well behind them. Idaho in Moscow, N Ariz, and NColo would seem to be the only ones that on paper may gives us trouble. http://volleyballmag.com/ncaa-volleyball-092917/ Quote
Teeder11 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 UND. taking care of business handily against EWU, up 2 sets to nil. 25-15 and 25-12. A lot of freshmen and bench players getting some valuable minutes today. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 In the Summit League, NDSU beat Denver yesterday, so NDSU is in first place there. That is important, as if NDSU wins the Summit, they would almost assuredly get fed to Minnesota as a first round opponent. The Summit really only has NDSU and Denver capable of winning that conference, as USD has fell well off the pace this year. Quote

Smoggy Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 How about EWU having 30 attack errors! That's over a set right there. They finished with .000 hitting percentage. Dooley was dominant. While we played better this match there were still stretches that were off. Like in 3rd set when we gave u I think 8 straight points after being up 9-4. Quote

SiouxVolley Posted October 1, 2017 Author Posted October 1, 2017 Sac St swept Portland St in Portland tonight to go 4-0 in the conference. Both teams will be challenges next weekend. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 2, 2017 Author Posted October 2, 2017 Faith Dooley named a player of week by the Big Sky for the second week in a row: this time is was for defensive player. She could have won for offensive player this week too, as her hitting percentage has been tremendous. Quote
SWSiouxMN Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 This is a huge weekend: If they can find a way to sweep, the chances of running the table in the regular season are pretty good. Pryor will have this team ready to go 2 Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 UND loses the first set to Sac St, 20-25. Nobody seems to be there at home at Sac, but this could be a big blow to UND's home court tournament. Sac St even made a number of service errors to only one for UND. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Sac St has a 7 pt run to make it 21-17 in 2nd set. UND with a three pt run now. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 UND wins the second set 26-24! Good comeback. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 The third set has been a total disaster so far. 17-7 Sac St. Quote
