SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Wow Monticello pulls off the upset over #2 Delano 3-2. If this is any indication for how the tournament is going to be this year we are in for a very exciting few days. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 Unseeded Northfield leading #3 Mahtomedi 2-1 early in the 3rd. Could be our 2nd upset in as many games in the A tournament. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Make it two upsets. North field puts in an empty netter. Quote
Wilbur Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Monticello or Northfield in the A final. No kidding. Quote
Yote 53 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Thanks guys. I'll let you know the status of TV coverage in Vermillion, not that you will care, LOL. BTW, Roll Cards Roll tonight! I've got a lot of friends in the hockey community in Luverne, parents I know and players my son has played with/against over the years, so pulling hard for their team. Luverne toppling mighty Hermantown would fit the narrative of the day. Upset Wednesday in Class A. Quote

Yote 53 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Two channels in Vermillion. Channel 323 with Twin Cities commercials and channel 593 with Sioux Falls commercials. I'm seeing quite a few Luverne and Go Cardinals commercials so that might be the reason they have thus South Dakota feed. Quote
ringneck28 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 When are we going to be able to watch a UND recruit? Quote

GoalieMask Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Also 595 in Fargo - gotta watch the Spuds Thursday at 1. Could this be the year? Quote
Yote 53 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Uh-oh. Only 2-1 after 2. Luverne has hope here. Could we get upset #3 of the day? Quote
Wilbur Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Luverne could be ahead in this one, they've had some great chances. If Hermantown scores right away in the 3rd on the power play it could snowball a bit. If Luverne gets a kill and some momentum look out. They've got the entire arena behind them. Quote
ringneck28 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Who is doing the play by play on TV? The voice sounds familiar. Quote
SiouxScore Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 WOW! Luverne ties it with 2:08 left. Quote

SiouxScore Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 Hermantown wins it early in OT. Hats off to Luverne much better game than I or probably anyone who follows Minnesota hockey expected. Quote

Expand These type of comments always crack me up! Not only was it NOT an easy win for Hermantown but they went to OT. Quote

It's turned into a hockey town with every little young athlete strapping on the skates instead of playing hoops. Quote
