Undefeated  in BSC play powerhouse Weber St.   struts their stuff into Grand Forks for a for a clash with the Fighting Hawks on Thursday... Weber picked by almost every expert to win the BSC is living up to its billing.  Weber is on a 7 game Winning Streak... I look for the Vegas line to open at even to Weber -2 points range  This is a fairly critical game for UND  if they plan on getting a first round BSC tourney bye.  I think UND needs the game more than Weber and gets the W at home

This would be a huge statement game for UND. It would let them know they are capable of beating anyone in the league and hopefully would propel them on a nice runh to finish the season.

So many variables...

Will Geno be a stud or a dud? (love his enthusiasm and skills but some games...)
Will Dirk show he's top tier in the conference?
Avants will be Avants - that's a good thing.
Can Carson avoid the mystery fouls he seems to get every game and remember his only sure shot is a dunk.
Need Quint to be our floor leader and get his numbers.

We have the talent and game plan - giving up offensive rebounds, missing free throws, turnovers that is what brings us down - all those are within our control.

UND outplayed them last year at home (the only time UND has beaten Weber).  Great game to watch, team played inspired.  Need Geno and Hooker to take over again like they did in that game.

Can't wait for this one.  Its great that we have shown we can play with the best in the Big Sky and beat them.  If this is a close game in the second half, I like our chances.  Our FT shooting has been clutch this year.  Especially down the stretch.  That is my X factor I guess.

Did you see the game against NDSU in Grand Forks?

That performance cannot be overlooked, even if UND has come around since then; UND lost a game and a chance to sweep NDSU with that performance at the charity stripe.

Well, besides that game ;)

Since then UND is shooting 73% from the line.  If you take out the Iowa game where we shot 6 for 19, we are 80% from the line since the Bison game.  The shooting all around in the last Bison game can't be ignored.  But the team has shown that it has moved on and improved. As shown by the numbers.

even if they shot well from the line that game they still come up short they made 16 of 30 ...lost by 17 do the math...they make a very good 80% they lose by 9...plus NDSU shot bad from the line that game.....Poor free throw shooting is something the players own...not the staff

You really are going with that argument? Frank "math" doesnt tell the whole story. Had UND made more free throws than NDSU attempted, especially early in the game, the game would've been played far different down the stretch. NDSU extended the lead late in the game while UND was trying to catchup- completely different style of basketball when UND was trying to play "catchup". UND dug themselves into a hole. And I didn't say the poor free throw shooting was on the staff, so that's you hearing voices.

What he's hearing is Jones' history of poor FT teams talking to him.
