If this had been the men's team looking so inept on the offensive end you would be demanding that Jones, Faison, and half the athletic department support staff be on the next bus to "anywhere but here". The last 6 minutes of this game were played by a team that looked totally lost and confused offensively. That happens and the team and coach can fix it without anybody having to be fired.

WBB finished the game very poorly and not a good coaching job at the end there either. Yes, they also had their chances. This was a big game with conference top teams and we lost at home, NOT GOOD. I think your last sentence is very correct, they can and hopefully will fix it. I just don't have the confidence in Jones to fix it. I would of loved the to see the women win that game, hopefully they do win against Mont Sat.

Stand finally hit a few buckets in 2nd half on Sat afternoon but the Thur game and 1st half Sat she couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Unless she can consistently drain some treys I just don't see a role for her as she's not fast, nor athletic, doesn't rebound, can't really create her own shots, etc.

I started noticing this last year. Am sure she is a great kid and wants to win and play hard. She just seems a little over her head right now. She does seem to get beat on defense more than others as well. Hopefully she gets better. I don't know if we have alternatives. Now, let's hope she scores 20 points the next game. SWSiouxMN
I didn't even realize this until I looked that the stats this morning. This team already has hit just as many and attempted as many 3 pointers than they did the entire season last year

I hope so too, they are going to need her hitting those outside shots (despite the two clunkers, she still is hitting right around 40% from beyond the arc). UND has been needing a 3 point specialist for a long time now. Wonder how much her injury is playing into other parts of her game (can't remember what she suffered from). Strand has the purest stroke on the team and is currently sitting at 8th overall in the BSC in 3FG%. Like SWSiouxMN pointed out, this team's 3 point production is through the roof compared to last year and we have Strand to thank for that as much as anyone.

Did Strand even play last year? Pretty sure she sat out the year with injury. Unless you mean last yeAr as in last semester in 2016.

I think her knee injury has taken a toll in her mind but at Fergus Falls HS she was a big scorer and I hope over time, as this season progresses, with confidence that enables her to do well at UND. Again, she's a scorer, and she needs to do that to succeed for the Hawks as that's why she's here.

Siouxperman8
Watched the last 6 minutes of the women's game tonight. Kicked away a 12 point lead while I watched but hung on to win. Couldn't get the ball up court against the press. Really ugly basketball but a win is a win.

Went to UND lady hoops game and S Utah brought out their football team last 6 - 8 minutes. Yah, admittedly, we did not do well at all against the pressure but the refs sure did us no favors swallowing their whistles several times. Yah, admittedly, we did not do well at all against the pressure but the refs sure did us no favors swallowing their whistles several times. All-in-all the most poorly officiated college basketball game I have ever seen and I have been watching since the mid-sixties. How Brewster managed only one "T" is remarkable and a testament to his patience. SUU went with the "they can't call everything" philosophy for the final quarter and the officials obliged by calling almost nothing, both on the press and on the boards - about the only foul calls came on shots and if you are hacked and bumped all the way up the floor it is hard to hang on long enough to get off a shot. But hey, the officials looked good, had good posture, made clear and definite signals, so I guess they would pass all of the criteria needed to get a "well done" from supervisors.
