Getting to watch Penn State again this weekend, have no doubt now how overrated they are. I only see Minnesota making possible noise in tournament. Penn State might depending on who they'll have to play.

BTHC:

1: Minnesota

2-5: Mediocre teams

6: Michigan State

The gophers are for real, though.

And now we watch WMU begin their free fall down the PWR.

And we watch Penn State and their free fall.

Current count: 4 NCHC teams in top 10. Only 1 big10 team in top ten.

Easily a top 16 team.

No doubt, they play in the ultra tough NCHC, not the Lil 6, so weekend in and weekend out they play real tough competition so RPI remains top of the ladder.  Yah, they slip up against ASU but then again, the Sioux won it all last season but still lost to Lil 6 team Wis and at home noless.  Even Giants hic-cup on occasion.

By the time this season is over "we beat and tied North Dakota" may not mean as much as it did that last weekend of November when the Spartans came to Grand Forks.

Thanks for stopping by DaveK...#punchbowl

Penn State got beat on the road by a team that looks to be on their way to earning a 1 seed. Western Michigan got beat at home by Arizona State. If you don't see the difference I can't help you.

The Big Ten is still on track to send three teams to the field of 16, the NCHC is still on track to send four. The three from the Big Ten will probably do better than the four from the NCHC.

Western and ASU tied...no one can help you.  #punchbowl

That and prognosticating the three BTHC teams that will allegedly make the tournament will do better than UMD and Denver is just asinine. Only Minnesota has shown that they seem to be for real.

If he would've excluded Denver/UMD, I actually wouldn't have thought his statement wasn't out of the realm of possibility.

Just curious, how is the B10 on track to send 3? Currently, there are two and a team tied for first isn't in the tournament. This weekend showed a couple losses to another B10 team will make a team plummit.

Do you expect Pedo State, OSU or Wisco to go essentially undefeated to make the tourney?

Wisco has 6 vs PSU and OSU. Losses to either team will drop the Badgers. Wins by the Badgers will drop the other two.

With such a weak non-confidence record against teams in the top 25, all B10 teams can drop quickly.

Anyone remember when ASU beat Ohio State in a Shootout but was considered a tie just like when ASU tied Western Michigan.

Yes, but that's when Arizona State was "good" and the tie actually moved Ohio State UP in the Pairwise.

Anyone remember when Dave's previously so-called best team in the B10 hadn't lost its last 5 games?

Wasn't Penn State #1 in the country, oh, like 15 minutes ago?

Yes, then they got sick from all the cupcakes they ate earlier in the season.
