scpa0305 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Everything Minn does bothers me Weird, me too Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 This is only the second time all season that Michigan Tech has trailed after two periods of play. Quote
Godsmack Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Boy, no kidding...Providence wins in it OT 5-4. I am optimistic about Haviland and what he's trying to do though. I think the team is showing improvement the past month. Quote
cberkas Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Michigan Tech goal waved off because of a high stick. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Boy, talk about night and day from the Union/BU game to the MTU/UW game...speed and skill vs speed and skill on one channel and speed and skill vs delay, trap, and slow down on the other channel. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Michigan Tech goal waved off because of a high stick. Kinda - the whistle blew for the high stick long before the puck was bounced around and tapped into the net. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 "Over 10,000 strong here inside Kohl Center..." BTN announcers living in Fantasy Land! Quote
cberkas Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 "Over 10,000 strong here inside Kohl Center..." BTN announcers living in Fantasy Land! It's more like 1,000 with 10,000 red seats. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 3 pipes tonight for Tech. No puck luck at all. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Seems Bucky is getting away with a lot in front of their net late. Quote
SiouxFanatic Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Going from scoring 8 goals the other night to zero goals the next night...that'd be very frustrating. This loss will hurt Tech's PWR. Wisconsin is going to win for the second time this season. Quote

MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 "Monumental win..." BTN exaggeration of the night X 2 Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 UM pulled off an OT win over RIT, 3-2 UAH beat UAA for their 5th win of the season. The last two seasons they had a combined 5 wins, and it's only January! Quote
Godsmack Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Does a Wisconsin win against #5 Tech help UND though? (PWR) Quote
cberkas Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Wisconsin might be in the same position next like this year, goaltending will be a issue with how Opilka has played in the games I've seen. Quote
cberkas Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Does a Wisconsin win against #5 Tech help UND though? (PWR) UND moved up to 8th and Michigan Tech is 12th. Quote
Godsmack Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 UND moved up to 8th and Michigan Tech is 12th. Still, a big part of me still would've loved seeing Tech sweep Wisconsin in Madison for the first time in 40 years. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015 Still, a big part of me still would've loved seeing Tech sweep Wisconsin in Madison for the first time in 40 years. While this may have been a much-needed win by Wisconsin against the #5 team in the country in Michigan Tech, the BTN booth guys describing it as a "monumental win" was a bit-over-the-top. Quote
