MafiaMan Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 Well, it sounds like justice prevailed as Lake State beat ND last night. Congrats to the Lakers! Big tournament win for the Soo Lakers...hopefully this is a step in the direction of turning around that once-proud program. Quote
petey23 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 http://www.und.com/sports/m-hockey/recaps/122814aaa.html Granted, that's Notre Dame's take on the story...but doesn't sound that unusual. Ha. Sounds like he was at a different game or maybe not even there? He doesn't mention that they couldn't review it because the overhead camera wasn't working. Quote

cberkas Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Omaha and UNH going to overtime, Omaha likes to play down to their competition. Quote
cberkas Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Omaha beats UNH 2-1, I see why UNH is part of the gawd awful Hockey East teams. Quote
cberkas Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 UNH leads Omaha 4-0 Omaha announcers were convinced that Omaha scored right before the UNH goal. Quote
MafiaMan Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 Need some company, cberkas? Another bad year and you've got to start wondering how much time Dick Umile has left up there in New Hampshire... Quote
cberkas Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 UNH beats Omaha 6-2 UNH goalie gets his first win in his first game of the season. Omaha looses to a team that was 5-11-1 now 6-11-1 and is second to last in Hockey East. Quote

What's UNH done since making the 2002 Frozen Four (lost to Maine in semi-finals) and the 2003 Frozen Four (lost championship game to Minnesota)? My memory is fuzzy. Quote
cberkas Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 What's UNH done since making the 2002 Frozen Four (lost to Maine in semi-finals) and the 2003 Frozen Four (lost championship game to Minnesota)? My memory is fuzzy. Beat UND in 2009 1st round game. They've been in the NCAA tournament every year from 2002 to 2011 and again in 2013. Might be time to let Umile go even though he's been their most successful coach when it comes to being in the NCAA's. Quote
cberkas Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Omaha's loss to UNH moved them from 3rd in the PWR to 10th which moved UND down to 11th. Quote
keikla Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Omaha is providing a few black spots on the NCHC non-conference record. It will be interesting to see what a loss to UNH and a tie to Alabama-Huntsville does at the end of the year. Quote
brianvf Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 If any NCHC team can lose some bad OOC games, it is certainly Omaha. They always seem to have issues with their OOC schedule. Quote
Siouxperfan7 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Brad E. Godsmack Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I suppose for PWR purposes we should be pulling for DU but man, that's really difficult to do. Quote
