MafiaMan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Did the Vikings get rid of Freeman? Freeman signed a one-year deal with the Giants in April but was released about six weeks later. He is currently without a team. Quote
cberkas Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Freeman signed a one-year deal with the Giants in April but was released about six weeks later. He is currently without a team. So the Vikings still owe that money to Freeman from last year? Quote
MafiaMan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 When does training camp start? So we can talk about football and not this stuff? Sorry, fs4l, but the news media has gobbled up this story about the Vikings from the get-go. Kluwe has been more than vocal about wanting a certain Vikings coached fired and basically banned from coaching in the NFL again. Plus a $10 million lawsuit to boot to teach the Vikings a lesson? All while playing the "comedian" regarding having been a Penn State victim? Total hypocrite. Quote
MafiaMan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 So the Vikings still owe that money to Freeman from last year? The Vikings paid Josh Freeman a total of $3 million for his services for the months of October, November, and December. Tampa Bay paid him just over $8 million to leave their organization. Not a bad year's "work," eh? Quote

MafiaMan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Not at all, but poor move by the Vikings GM. I completely agree. Throw Freeman to the wolves four days after signing him, then sit him the rest of the way and pay him $3 million bucks. Talk about inept. Quote

MafiaMan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 He did draft Ponder and we can all see how that has gone. The failures of years gone by will all be forgotten if Teddy Bridgewater becomes the next Russell Wilson and Johnny Football makes Ryan Leaf look like a Hall of Famer. Quote

Bridgewater and Jonny Football could both be mediocre and replace in a year or two by draft time. Quote
iramurphy Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Detroit Lakes Adam Thielen has been getting a lot of notice so far in Vikes camp. Made "catch of the day" yesterday and took some reps with first team. Word is he had impressive OTA's and minicamp and has good shot at making team after spending last year on practice squad. Sioux could have had him for small scholarship. Played at Mankato. 1 Quote

MafiaMan Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Vikings will be much improved If nothing else, it'll be fun watching 'em play outdoors! Quote
Fetch Posted August 11, 2014 Author Posted August 11, 2014 I just watched the replay of the vikes game. The logo on the center of the field the horns look like puppy dog tails Quote
iramurphy Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Detroit Lakes Adam Thielen made the 53 man roster for the Vikes. Had great pre-season. Quote

MafiaMan Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Seeing the Vikings in their current uniform scheme makes me happy. That last uniform was a hot mess. 1 Quote

SiouxScore Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 ...and just when you think the Vikings might put together a good season...their star player gets indicted on child abuse charges... Not many details or information about it out there yet but sounds like the alleged child abuse situation involves one of his children that lives in Texas with the mother. Quote
SiouxScore Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 So looking into the story a little more the whole thing seems to be a little bit overblown with some of the "child beating" headlines. http://vikingsterritory.com/2014/off-the-field-issues/2014-minnesota-vikings-adrian-peterson-indicted-for-child-injury Quote
